I completely misunderstood this when I ordered. I saw "brush on" and assumed this was a powder-based sunscreen that you can apply to your face, whether on top of makeup or bare faced. Boy was I wrong! That was my fault. However, this probably won't be a repurchase for me, because I'm fair complected and like a higher SPF. I also need waterproof/sweat proof sunscreen frequently.

Great sunscreen for the body. Applies easily and absorbs quickly. It doesn't leave any whitecast. Actually makes my skin look quite glowy for the perfect summertime beach look. It is quite thick, so I would not use this on my face. I'm happy with it as a body sunscreen!

I usually love body butters so I bought this thinkingIt would feel smooth and spread easily. It comes in a body butter type of container but is thick and doesn’t spread as easily as I hoped. It also has a smell that I don’t care for. It doesn’t smell like sunsceeen; it’s more like a fragrance.

To start it applies nicely, usually one limb, but as you use more on different limbs it stops rubbing in easily and creates this build up/residue that won’t rub in. You kinda have to wait for it to dry and wipe it off. This build up makes a mess on clothes too. I won’t be reordering but I’ll finish what I have (the jar is mostly gone anyway after a week long trip).

While there are times that one may want to glisten like a glazed ham in the sun, other times, you just want sun protection and nothing else. This SPF butter is perfect for spreading all over your body for sun protection that is effective, non-white casting, and perfectly matte. I can rub this on my dark skin and go out looking like a normal human being in five minutes. I've even applied it after I've put clothes on without fearing that I'll get grease stains on my clothes. It is simultaneously a moisturizing butter, and a matte, non-greasy spf. I don't know how that is possible, but they've done it. Now, I can reserve my glazed ham moments for when I really need them!

This mineral sunscreen is a great option if you plan on spending time in the ocean, as it’s reef-safe, which I appreciate. The product is thick and creamy, takes a bit of massaging to rub in, and doesn’t leave behind a heavy scent. As a very fair person, I tend to reapply my sunscreen frequently, but this formula is so thick that I noticed it starting to build up after a few applications, rather than continuing to melt into the skin.

I have tried Brush On Block's mineral sunscreen with a built-in brush, but despite the brand name, this Bounce Butter is meant to be applied by hand. It has a thick, creamy texture and goes on thick. It takes some work to rub in, but it absorbs nicely with no cast on my medium light skin. I'm not sure about a blurring effect, but i do think it reflects the light a little and gives my skin a subtle glow without being greasy. The 30 SPF works well for me when I'm not spending a lot of time outdoors. Recommend.
