These Brooder Pads are the single best investment for a clean, healthy baby-chick environment. I’ve used puppy-pads, paper towels, pine bedding - and sincerely wish I’d found this option earlier. Great for chicks. I lined a huge box with these and then threw shavings over them. So easy to remove dirty flakes and reapply. These have paper under straw so protects bottom of box only had to replace if water spilled. 3 weeks in with chicks and working very well!

A little thin but a great way to keep your brooder area clean. Great price.

These are so useful. They help clean the space clean and the smell at bay. I use these in nesting boxes and also on the floor for my Silkie Chickens as they love to cuddle puddle instead of roost.

They are very thin and shed a lot.

How am I the only hater?! Maybe my pack was defective, but these are so incredibly thin, and when I took them out of the plastic, they were falling apart. The shreds were going everywhere, some of it even got stuck inside the plastic packaging and completely ripped off of the paper backing. So then I had to just like, throw it in myself. I had to sweep everywhere. It was crazy. You can see straight through The straw to the paper underneath. Also, the size is weird like it doesn’t function in a round brooder, which is typically what people use. I have a massive Behrens galvanized tub and I figured that even though these were rectangles that it would be easy to configure them inside the brooder, but they’re really stiff, if you cut it, it just makes it worse. Absolute disaster. Not worth it.
