Everything that was promised and more
I'm 66. I retired 1 day before the Gorilla mat arrived. My goal is to do extreme workouts. The mat arrived in perfect shape and I placed it on the floor with the Gorilla facing up as directed. I stood on it and ate a bowl of ice cream and noticed it stayed in place. The next day I began the extreme workout. Both sit ups and push ups pushed me to the limit. Both means two in this case. The mat took the workout without any signs of wear. The Gorilla mat is perfect for my needs. It has been a week later. I have been sore but not crippled because I am slowly building up my exercise. I love the length to do the push-ups and horizontal pull-ups and I use the width to do the sit-ups. The mat is much better than the concrete floor. It is warm and soft to lay on while exercising. In case you are keeping track, I am doing 50 sit-ups, 30 push-ups and 30 horizontal pull-ups. If you are wondering, I attached a strong hook to the garage ceiling roof into a rafter and attached swing set rings so that I can do the horizontal pull-ups. I have a board attached to the wall that allows me to hook my toes so that I can do the sit-ups. That is why I use the width of the mat. My goal is to be at 200 of each by the end of the month.

An incomplete product
This product is great if all you are looking for is a specific place to workout.I am using this product as a HITT workout mat. This mat gives me a designated area on my floor to workout in the mornings, but that is it. My expectations might have been too high. The reason for the 3-star review is that it keeps sliding whenever I'm working out. Midway through my HITT workout, I have a bunched up mat that I need to fix. While it is an excellent excuse to take a break, its not what I was looking for. I also put the short end up against my wall and it appears that it was not cut straight (not a big deal since it is minor, but worth mentioning). I was also thinking this would be heavier. Additional weight would help with the slipping/bunching issue. To make this product complete, I think they should make this a thicker mat which would add some weight and also help with the absorption of impacts. The firmness works out well. Making sure the cuts are straight would also help. Also a few more sizes could be useful as well.If I find a way to make this stay put, I'll add some photos and an update.

Would buy again! Great workout mat!
I was very impressed with how well this item is packaged. You can tell that they take pride in their product. So great to have 2 straps, bag with tie, and a nice size microfiber cloth to come with it. I chose the gray color and I like how it's a nice darker gray. I did my Insanity Max 30 workout on it today and it worked like a charm. It gave the extra comfort that I need so my joints/knees don't get jarred. It did move a little bit on the carpet, and I had to adjust the mat a couple times, but that's totally expected with all the jumps, burpees, push ups, and craziness that the Insanity workout is lol :) It does have a really cool textured bottom on the mat that does a good job of gripping the floor. The mat size 6' X 4' worked great for me. I'm only 5'2". I think though if you are closer to 6 feet in height definitely go for the 7 ft mat instead, especially if you plan on doing push ups or planks on this mat. It's better to go a little bigger I'm thinking. The quality of the mat is definitely 2 thumbs up. I'm not scared to let my dog run around on it like other mats that can tear with her claws. Looking forward to using this mat for years to come. :)

PERFECT FOR HARDWOOD FLOORS!
I have a room I use for workouts at home, and had previously been using those grid-locking-mats on the floor (you know, the colorful squares that lock together in pieces?) . Lots of cushion, but *not* made for use on hardwood floors as they slid all over the place. Talk about an accident waiting to happen. After reading a ton of reviews and shopping around, I settled on this mat. Oh. My. Gosh. What a game-changer. Non-slip. Good cushion. And the best? The 6x4 mat is the same size as my throw rug, so when not in use, I have a pretty shag rug to cover it up. If you have hardwood floors and want a non-slip mat, buy this!! SUPER happy. :)

Much better than a rug
I've been working out for 3+ years with an old 8 x 10 area rug on my hardwood floor. Got tired of it sliding around and storing it so after some research bought this. Very high quality, does not slide on my hardwood, and provides just enough cushioning without it being spongy. Easy to rollup and store. No weird smell. I do primarily beachbody workouts and this 6 x 4 size keeps me on the mat about 80% of the time - for those workouts that require a wider area its no big deal to come off the matt since its thin. When I first got it I thought it might have been too small, but now after working out on it for a couple weeks I'm pleased I got this size. I still use a yoga mat on top for some floor exercises but probably just because I have one - the mat is cushioned enough that it would be OK without it. Its pricey so that's a personal decision.

Quality
Looks good, feels good. For some reason I expected it to be slightly bigger than what it really is- but that's not a big deal. I have hardwood floors, live on the third floor....and just stepping on this I know it will help reduce impact (in my joints, AND of course disturbing my neighbors) I am going to take it for a spin tomorrow AM (Insanity Max 30) but I can see and feel the quality of this month. I will probably pay closer attention to measurements next time. Again, just my personal preference. The quality of the mat is A+ , and while the size bothered me a little, most people would find it to be plenty of room. Thanks!
