Quick Reviews!
Snaffle is a fun card-based word game, ideally played with four people, but it works with fewer. It's part Trivia, part Scrabble, and the aim of the game is to use your vast repertoire of words and general knowledge to get rid of your stack of cards first. You do that by correctly answering a Trivia question such as 'name a fun card-based word game', and if you have an S card in your deck, you would say 'Snaffle' and set that card aside. The twist comes when you don't have an answer in your deck, but you can steal, or 'Snaffle' a card from someone else's if you can answer based on their deck. That card gets overturned, and basically blocks the other player momentarily. If you can't see an answer in anyone's deck, you have to pick up a new letter card. Round and round you go until it ends. The box is travel sized, meaning you can whip this out easily or take it with you on journeys, and because it's card based, it doesn't take up too much room to play. If you're playing with four people though, you need to be able to set down all the cards so everyone can see what everyone has. There's a little bit of strategy here, as you try to maybe Snaffle the strongest player or the player with the fewest cards remaining. It's also bets to play it with a similar peer group - kids playing together is better than kids and adults in the same group for example, although the questions are varied enough that they're not particularly tough or geared towards a specific age. The cards are colourfully designed, clear, and the instructions are simple enough to follow for first timers.

Fun family game
This is a really fun family game. It involves the players coming up with answers to topics using a set of letter cards, with the aim of getting rid of the letter cards. With younger players, it may be a good idea to play in teams with adults, as adults will naturally have a better vocabulary. What is really great about this game, though, is that it is quick and does not become boring before the game finishes.

Good game, fun night
The game is well packaged, good quality cards and designed quite well. Instruction manual pretty easy to read compared to other games. More suitable for adults than kids as some topics are harder than others hence unfair advantage.

Rules were a bit vague
We are just back from a family holiday and took three board / travel games of which Snaffle was one. Unfortunately we (four adults) just found it a bit boring and the rules a bit vague. What do you do when you pick up an extra card? This step seemed to be missed from the instructions so might have to make it up as you go along like we did. After playing a couple of games for the purposes of this review I’m sorry to say we didn’t bother with it again all holiday.
