Only worked for 6 weeks
The milk frother stopped working after 6 weeks and the coffee had never been hot from the start you have to put your drink in the microwave for 20 seconds. Spoke with Amazon who could not offer an exchange so it was sent back for a refund. The return tracker tells me Amazon has had the item back for the last 6 days and despite online chat I have still not been refunded! For an item over £700 I expected a better machine which would last more than 6 weeks. The features on it however I really liked as you could alter the amount of milk with each drink and it also told you when to clean and replace filters which was handy. However it’s not worth the money. Also Amazon customer service has been terrible. I’ve had to buy another coffee machine without yet being refunded !!!!

Good
The only downside is that you can't make coffee from the app cuz it rinse first so you need to be next to the machine to change the mug. What s the point of having an app to make coffee if you need to be next to the machine? You can just press on the screen. Other than that coffee s good and it makes it fast

Smart looking
I have been using this machine for a few months now and really enjoy the coffee. It takes a bit to set up the machine to get the taste you like and that varies with different coffee beans. It does remember your settings though and you can store your favourites. The machine tells you when to run a cleaning cycle, or descaling cycle and the routines are quite straight forward to follow with detailed on screen instructions. It does want to connect to the internet and does sometimes carry out software updates (normally when you want a coffee!) It looks smart and well made.

The EQ700 is the best coffee machine I've ever had
I was on the fence on this one, as this is a quite expensive machine, but I do love them so I decided to give this one a try, and it's absolutely fantastic.Perfect coffee every time, outstanding precision. The display is gorgeous, the lighting on the coffee cup when its pouring is really nice touch, and I love the ability to remotely dispense a coffee. Sounds stupid, I know, but it's actually useful for me.The one criticism I have is the fact I cannot disable the automatic rinse on startup. It auto-rinses both on startup and shutdown, but that hurts the purpose of the remote dispensing ability. I can't pour my morning cup from my bed using the app, because it would throw dirty water in the cup prior to the coffee.Siemens, please fix that!

Can It Work With Barrista Oatly?
This coffee machine the EQ700 is really good. It grinds well, easy to fill, clean and assemble. With the right coffee beans it actually makes the perfect coffee no matter which type you prefer, it can make them allI don't drink cows milk and use a brand called oatly which is a non dairy product made from plants. The EQ700 still steams the barrista oatly perfectly and makes a wonderful coffeeSome reviews complain about the heat of the coffee and that it's not hot enough? I've found it to be hot enough, it's not scalding like out of a kettle but it's hot enough to enjoy. If you're a coffee lover I would highly recommend this coffee machine!

EQ700: Infinitely Better than Coffee Pod Machines - But not Worth £1,000.
If you love coffee, good coffee, then this machine is a great option. However, given its £1,000 price, it I expected more.First, the user manual is almost useless. For the price, I would have expected some written instructions for setup rather than tiny, useless diagrams that make IKEA manuals look amazing. So, to set up out of the box:1: Remove the liquid dropper by holding in the button on the right side. Then you can remove the plastic wrapping. Then it just clicks back on. Then pull out the bottom compartment to attach the drip tray and then close it back in.2: Switch on the machine and follow the on-screen instructions for the filter as they are better than the manual. Use the attachment to insert the filter then detach the attachment to close the water compartment.3: Add your coffee beans to the compartment at the top where the grinder is.4: Set liquid temperature to hottest in the on-screen settings (little cog symbol) or your coffee won't be hot. With that out of the way, you can begin your coffee journey. I am a long-time coffee drinker. But I always used coffee pods (Bosch Tassimo), and wanted to treat myself to professional coffee at home. Which pods just don't deliver.Let me just say, the coffee from this machine is stunning. I purchased Lavazza Qualita Rossa (1kg for £15) as a test because I read it is a good blend that works well in home machines. And it doesn't disappoint. Even an Americano is silky smooth. And drinks like Latte Machiato are stunning. The milk froth is beautiful and creamy, and that's using semi-skimmed, lactose-free milk. So I can only imagine what full fat or cream is like. The only downside is that the EQ700 does not come with a milk compartment. However, you can easily get what you want by inserting the tube and straw attachment into your milk carton. I would have expected a milk compartment due to the price. But to be honest, it would probably spoil anyway. The great thing about this machine, however, is the customisation. It's amazing. You can customise drinks by adding a favourite. Then you can adjust the cup size, strength, milk amount and aroma. The interface is very easy, using icons you just touch to set what you want, and tap the Save button. And there you have exactly what you want. Of course, the machine comes with various presets of classic coffees, from Espresso to Americano and everything in between. Finally, the machine is very easy to clean. You can simply pull out the drip tray to remove excess water and little coffee ground poops. Don't throw these away as you can use them for homemade soap, exfoliates, plant fertiliser and more. Then you can just wipe these down. Or you can use the program to clean different parts of the machine which rinses them with water automatically.I have a smart home, but I haven't got around to using the app yet. Right now, I am enjoying the machine, and learning the right coffee settings. I highly recommend this machine, but I feel a bit miffed about having paid so much. I simply don't feel it is worth the price. However, I only have coffee pod machines as a comparison. On that front, this machine is infinitely better. If you are getting a bit bored with poor quality coffee from a pod machine, and feel like you don't want to be ripped off in coffee shops, this is definitely the machine for you.

Not a great engineering design.
After the warranty finished, the machine broke down.
