Amazing value with stereo pairing mode
I bought this speaker because it has a strap that is easy to hook to a carabiner so I can hook it on myself while doing random works. The midrange is good, so it works well for audiobooks and wide range of music, and the bass is not overbearing. It is recommended to use the mobile Soundcore app to tune the EQ to your liking, and if you feel there is not enough bass.Read on if you are interested in buying two of these to use as stereo speakers. The sound quality from two of these speakers in stereo mode is where the real value for the money is. They have better sound quality in term of clarity compared to a single speaker unit at the same price. There is phase cancelation when outputting stereo music to a monoaural speaker therefore some music details will be lost, but you can hear them again in stereo mode. The pairing process can be tricky, so I want to go over how I do it. Before you pair the two speakers, it is not required but first connect each speaker to the Soundcore mobile app and make sure the EQ settings for both speakers are identical, that way you get a more balanced sound. To do stereo pairing, hold the "B" Bluetooth button on both speakers at the same time for 2 seconds. You should hear a sound notification with 4 quick notes. To test if the pairing works, if you hold the power button on one of the speaker, it should turn off both speakers together at the same time. The two speakers will now remember their pairing. The next time you turn them on, it will take a moment for them to recognize each other and should play that 4-notes notification sound. If you want to un-pair the two speakers from each other, also hold the Bluetooth button on both speakers for 2 seconds. But it is not necessary to unpair them if you are going somewhere and is only taking one speaker with you. Just take one speaker with you, when you get home you can turn on the second speaker again and they will be back to stereo mode.To use both speakers in stereo mode with a Windows 10 or 11 PC, there is a specific procedure to avoid headaches. Make sure both speakers are already paired in stereo mode. Have both speakers turned off. Turn on Bluetooth for your PC, then turn on one speaker only. Pair that one speaker with your PC successfully. Now turn on the second speaker, wait about 6 seconds, you should hear the second speaker play the 4-notes notification sound indicating it paired with the firs speaker. Remember the first speaker that you paired with your PC, every time from now on make sure to turn on this speaker first and let it successfully connect to your PC before you turn on the second speaker. Don't turn on both speakers at once, for some reason that cause Windows to have a hard time connecting to the first speaker.

Giant Killer
This speaker Exceeded my expectations, and being a SoundCore collector, they were pretty High. I have a lot of bluetooth speakers, including a few from Soundcore, including the MotionBoom Plus and Motion 300. While the Motion 300 is still my all-round favorite for it's sound and portability, this Select 4 Go is much smaller and lighter weight, and holds it's own very well in the sound quality and loudness departments. I highly recommend using the app because, for me, most music sounds better on this speaker with the bass boosted. In fact, this is the first SoundCore speaker, or headphones for that matter, that I actually like the bass boost turned on most of the time. The others tend to sound muddy with it, and suppress the treble too much. Even with the bass boosted, the Select 4 Go keeps nice, crisp highs and warm, clean midrange. I'm hoping that Soundcore adds more EQ options, as they typically have for new offerings in the past, because I think this speaker is capable of more than the current 4 settings are allowing it to do.I only have one of these speakers and have tested it in several environments. I currently use the Motion 300 as my shower speaker and it sounds amazing with it's high fidelity stereo sound, but the Motion 4 Go would serve very well for this, too, and I have to think that a pair of them set up with True Wireless Stereo would probably win me over, if it weren't for the fact that the Motion 400 just fits perfectly in my shower's unused soap holder nook, and turning one speaker on instead of two is just more convenient. That being said, if I didn't already have the Motion 300, I'd probably opt to save a few dollars and get two of these little guys, instead, since two of these cost less than one of the Motion 300's. (Remember, that's my favorite portable speaker I'm talking about) Then again, if I was made of money, I'd just get two of the Motiom 300's and preemptively make an appointment for a hearing aid fitting.I've also used the Select 4 Go in my office at work, which is rather large since it's a control room that accommodates up to 6 technologists at a time and also holds a lot of equipment. Alone, this speaker filled the room with sound better than most of the bluetooth speaker PAIRS that I pitted it against in this scenario. Yes, they were cheaper speaker pairs, but they'd been happily used for the task in the past, and were simply outperfomed by this lone but mighty little guy. Again, I have to think that two would be more than ample for casual or small gathering listening in a medium sized room.I've also compared this with quite a few similarly sized items from other companies like JBL and Bose, and I have to say that, in my opinion, the Soundcore sounds about the same or slightly better than those, but with a much nicer price tag.I've had no problems with connectivity, so far, and setup is a breeze. If you're looking for a small, lightweight, rugged speaker that can actually pump out great sound without breaking your wallet, this is the way to go. I am consider ordering a second one to pair them in stereo, and will update if I do.

great sounding speaker for it's size....wonderful rich tone
Love this little speaker!! it sounds FANTASTIC at low and medium volume.... The bass sounds great and is surprisingly rich sounding and tight. No it doesn't have super deep sub bass...of course. The speaker has a nice rich tone, not tinny sounding..... the highs aren't shrill sounding. Bluetooth pairing is SUPER EASY, just press the bluetooth button to pair and voila... Battery life is good too...It's just as good, if not better sounding than a LOT of speakers its size that cost way more.I definitely recommend it and will buy another...

Great sound. Not a fan of the fabric, though.
The bass on this thing is great, and I haven't even used the bass boost, yet. It can get super loud if needed, and I've yet to have it fail on me. The battery life's really good, too. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the fabric speaker grill; there's typically no real way to keep it clean other than to never get it dirty, which is kind of a hassle, but if that's not a problem for you, then this is a great speaker for its price. I totally recommend this.

Great product!
Bought to replace my JBL CLIP4. This is way better than the JBL Clip4. My Clip4 was a 8 month old new replacement for the previous Clip4 that lasted less than a year. I'm not abusive. Just use to play for 30 minutes at night to fall asleep. In both cases the Bluetooth started to fail. On both followed instructions to do a factory reset. Still had issues so I bought this Anker. Sound is better than JBL. The JBL Clip4 had no app to adjust sound equilizer. This soundsource does. And at half the cost it is definitely a must buy. Easy Bluetooth paring. Love it.
