Works great--put my Canon 11-24mm on my R3 and mounted them to my mono-pod with this new quick connect.

I've been looking for a plate to mount my FX30 cage horizontally above my 15 mm rod system. This is the PERFECT solution for that. Also - you know how there is certain gear that you enjoy using every time you see it/use it? This is one of those items. The quick release paddle is awesome and it clamps down perfectly on my Smallrig FX30 cage. Couldn't be happier!

I ordered this to use as a quick release for my long lens (Sony 70-200/2.8) Arca foot on my DJI RS 3 Pro. The foot fits fine, but I'm not sure about this locking mechanism, it's weird (maybe it's just me). There's the blue release lever thing, then the silver lever which seems unlocked in the middle and locked to either side, but which is the "correct" side, and why does it tighten on both sides and not open more the other way? It's just a bit strange and finicky and I just don't trust it by the feel of the locking mechanism. I have a smaller QR plate that works and has a "thumb screw" tightener instead of a lever, and looked at this one as hopefully a "heavier duty" one that might be easier to install/release, but it's not going to work because I'm afraid I might drop the camera while installing or triggering one of the release levers, and there's only one mounting hole on the bottom, while my smaller QR plate has two mounting holes and therefore won't swivel at all.

Including long lens foot. Allen screw adjusts jaw width/tension. Great price for quality machining. If the Arca plate/lens foot has safety screws, this clamp will not completely release the plate until the blue lever is depressed (safety feature).NB: the one-star review claiming it "doesn't mount to tripod" must be operator error.

I have multiple cameras and tripods and was looking for a system that would allow me to interchange between all of them easily. This item fits the bill. It is soundly built with a tight fit. It comes with a handy Allen wrench screwdriver built into it to allow you to tighten things down when locking onto the tripod or the camera. The lock is truly a lock, which is very nice. And it allows quick interchangeability like I wanted. I also like that it’s small, but it’s the reason for four stars instead of five. I know that some people will want something larger and heavier. So if you choose it, make sure you know that it isn’t designed to hold a great deal of weight. Bottom line though when I get another tripod, I’m gonna buy another one of these.
