Great Headlamp
For the money, this is a Great headlamp. It is very lightweight and extremely comfortable to wear, even for extended periods of time. I tested the battery life and found it to be quite impressive. After fully charging the light I turned it on maximum brightness and it took nearly 3 hours to visually detect any fading. It lost it's brightness very slowly and was still functional as a spotlight for more than 5 hours. After 8 hours of continuous operation, at the brightest spotlight level, the light had dimmed to an impractical use level but even at 7 hours it was still emitting enough light to read by. With the battery completely depleted I tested the recharge time and it took 2 hours and 17 minutes using a 3 amp wall charger. I also tried charging it with my 1000 mAh portable solar charger and it worked fine. I did not measure the charge time using the solar charger but assume it would be longer. My portable solar charger has a 2.1 amp output. The adjustable brightness and ability to set at spot or flood light is a great feature. Both have 3 different power levels to meet the users need and preserve battery life. The red light feature, especially the flashing SOS, is a very nice feature for emergencies. The built in whistle on the headband adjustment did not work all that well but it is a nice added feature. The only challenge I encountered was adjusting the light from spot to flood. It took a few times to get used to the quick double click but now I can do it effortlessly.I have already ordered a second one as a gift and highly recommend it.The build on this light seems very good. There is a gasket that seals the battery compartment and the cover over the mini USB port is tight and moisture resistant if not fully waterproof. Since I will likely use this during foul weather time will tell.

Impressive Multipurpose Light
I am very impressed with this light. The strap is easy to adjust very comfortable. The integrated whistle is a nice extra touch. The rechargeable batteries via USB connection is very convenient. Plug it into your phone charger every so often and you don't have to worry about conserving battery. it would be a great kid's headlamp for that reason. The charge port cover is a little hard, but does the job so far.The 3 types of light this unit offers suits many different situations:-The spotlight(3 brightness levels) is good for outside when you need to see at a distance. I found that it has excellent throw for it's size. It illuminated objects farther away than I expected it would.-The white flood lights(3 brightness levels) illuminate a large area when you are looking at close distances such as indoors or in a tent. This is a mode that I really appreciate because my other headlight only has a spotlight, which isn't the best for close up applications.-The red lights(solid, flashing, SOS) are for when you need minimal light, want to be discreet, or maintain your night vision.Changing between the modes is very intuitive even though there is only one button. I had it figured out in no time at all without reading the instructions. One of the things I was most pleasantly surprised to discover is that it remembers the mode it was in when you turned it off and automatically begins in that same mode when you turn it back on. That is a feature many lights do without to save cost.Overall, this is a simple, very useful light that is good for many different applications.

A Surprisingly Good Bargain!
I didn't expect much for the money, but this is a *very* nice little light. It's inexpensively made, but not cheaply so. I've been needed a headlamp for working in dark corners and at 15USD seemed worth the risk. But I was surprised and impressed. The plastic used is better than I expected, and construction reasonably sturdy. The strap is equally nice, which is to say far, far nicer than usually seen. And it's reasonably attractive in a non-dorky way, with a touch of geek-chic.My managed expectations allowed me to skip most of the ad— it was cheap, it was LED. Pulled the trigger, boom. I didn't know several things that made this a solid buy for me:•included 3xAAA rechargeable batteries•has FLOOD LIGHT (3) settings as well as spotlight settings (4)•has red light for 'rig for red' work and could function as a bicyclist's tail light•has ACTUAL SOS signaling Morse in red light•pivots in bracket to lower beam incrementally to 45º below horizontalAll of this may be in the product description which I still haven't read. One odd thing is the charging ( which uses a micro-USB port :\ ) indicator. Where most devices have a small LED to indicate the charging status— red for Charging, blue, green, or off for Charged, this light uses the flashing of the red strobing to signal charging. I don't know if this impacts the Charge time. So at this point it's neither good nor bad, just odd.Three small nits:•You have to do a lot of button pushing and cycling through various modes to get to other than the defaults. This is typical in a lot of LED lights so I don't let it bug me too much.•The button is recess and has a narrow opening. People with wide fingers might have some trouble activating the light and specific modes.•While the lighting instructions work well, sometimes I activate both the flashing red strobe and the flood lights. There's no reason for this that I can see and it drains the battery that much faster.A lot (or little) hands-free light right where you want it, for a pittance. I'll buy another for me and a couple for gifts.

It is nice and bright on highest setting
It is nice and bright on highest setting, but battery life is quite short. It also has periods where it will flicker and dim as though it is having trouble with regulating the power. Had better stability out of a $12 dollar headlamp I bought at a little hardware store.Update...3months later, it now will sometimes just turn itself off. Although it can immediately be turned back on but it could cause some accidents. As I haven't seen anyone else make that complaint, I'm assuming mine is just a defect. I am requesting an exchange for a new one.I have recieved a replacement and it works perfectly. I am very happy with the customer service.

Great product
Good for hiking/biking at night, camping, blackouts, etc. The strap is adjustable for different head sizes. The light angle can be adjusted (can face the ground if needed). Charges via USB cable. I haven't used this for a long period of time or that often so I am unable to comment on that.Otherwise, I would recommend this.

AMAZING LIGHT!
Excellent light made even better by being USB rechargeable. I will be taking this every time I go out into the wilderness - I even use it a lot of ways at home... when I'm cleaning my dog's ears, going in the yard at night, fixing miscellaneous projects etc etc. Really is a great light for so many uses and is super bright. I also love that it has a red SOS blinking function for emergencies, just in case.

Two lights on one strap for biking
I've combined two of these lights on one strap. The one facing forward is set to white light and one facing backwards set to red light. It fits on my head under the brim of my bike helmet. This works because the housing is easily removed from its strap and placed on the other. I've rigged the extra strap to go over the head from front to back for extra stability.

This seems like a great headlamp for the price
This seems like a great headlamp for the price, build quality is good and the USB charging is awesome. I bought two of them less than a month ago, however, and one of them has stopped working. Hopefully the refund process goes smoothly and it just a random defect and not an indication of the general quality of the product.

Good, bright, durable for price
Good light, takes a little longer than advertised to charge, but very bright and lasts a long time, also the packaging is all in one small box, easy to recycle, no plastic, very happy

Light doesnt seem to hold much of a charge and ...
Light doesnt seem to hold much of a charge and depletes after an hour or so of constant usage. Ive bought more expensive rechargeable ones that will last 4-5x longer for the same amount of charge.

Looks can be deceiving
For something so seemingly well made, it sure looks cheap and kind of dorky in the pictures. It works well though, the integrated micro-usb charging for the AAA batteries is great and gives you the best of both worlds, and it is bright and easy to use. The strap also adjusts easily and fits snugly. I haven't had it that long, but I would recommend it. Especially for the price. Oh, and it doesn't look so bad in real life.
