Coffee Gator Cold Brewer - For Natural Flavor That Couldn't Be Truer - 47floz, Gray

i have had iced coffee before....just throw some hot coffee onto some ice cubes. this is different. it brews different, tastes different, and even smells different.the pitcher is easy to use, i just throw in 3 metal scoops (it comes with a scooper) of 8 oclock blend ground columbian coffee and fill it up with water that was filtered through my refridgerator. then i put it into the fridge for 24 hrs. taste is great and so is the pitcher itself. THE ONLY CRITICISM i would make is the lid. the lid is more of a "cap" and it would be nicer if i would be able to pour with the lid attached. maybe some sort of twist and pour mechanism or something.

Typically I’ve been a hot coffee only (pour over or French press) kind of gal, however I tried cold brew a few times recently and decided I’d like to have my own at home.I was immediately drawn to the branding (love that logo) and aesthetic of this cold brew machine, but I wasn’t sure so I waited a bit and eventually it came up as a deal of the day. I ordered it immediately and I am a huge fan! I think this company puts a lot of thought and heart into what they’re doing and it pays off. Small features, like the cap on the end of the filter unscrewing for easier cleaning, make this extremely easy to use and maintain. I also like the slim/tall design because it’s mindful that we don’t all have a huge amount of fridge space to devote to a cold brew system.Our first brew did have a bit of silt. It settled on the bottom and wasn’t in our coffee at all until I poured the very last cup. I think with a slightly coarser grind this won’t happen in the future.All in all, a great product: very easy to use & clean, and it delivers some amazing, smooth homemade cold brew.

I was excited about this because of the apparent convenience and ease of use. Unfortunately, the design is such that I cannot adjust the strength to my liking. Even when the grounds chamber is full, there is simply not enough room for the ratio (4:1) I like for my iced coffee. Limiting the water to the 4:1 ratio means that much of the grounds are above the water line. It gets a few points back for durability and ease of use, but the faults in chamber size mean I am left decidedly unsatisfied.EDIT: I changed my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. Coffee Gator reached out after I wrote this review to ask how they could improve my experience. They offered a refund on my purchase or the option to receive a free gift. I chose the free gift and they sent me a stainless steel French press. The French press works great. It is double walled so the water stays hot as the coffee is brewing and there are two mesh filters in the press meaning less sediment makes it into the cup. Though my opinions on the functionality of this product remain the same, I am definitely more likely to try other Coffee Gator products knowing how great their customer service is.

I really like this cold brew maker. I drink cold brew at least nine months a year and this has really helped me cut down on trips to Starbucks. The brewer is easy to use. I like the collapsible funnel which helps prevent me from making a mess when putting the coffee grounds in the filter. Cleaning involves a bit of dish soap and air drying and dumping old grounds into the trash. I can prepare the brewer on a Sunday afternoon/evening and have enough for a cup of coffee each morning of my work week.

Simple concept and design. I just cannot get over the idea that the glass carafe would break easily. It seems to be made of cheap common glass that you would find in a pickle jar. The unit works well. Cannot speak to its durability, hence the 4-star rating.

I absolutely loved the product when i received it. My first batch of cold brew was not as strong as i wanted, but i felt confident that with a little experimentation, that i would find a perfect flavor for me. Unfortunately, an issue arose in which the glass and the plastic disconnected and the bottom of the glass shattered. It was pretty incredible that only the bottom of the container broke. Although there was a large mess, nobody was hurt. I let the company know what happened and they were extremely fast and thoughtful. We were able to quickly resolve the issue and I really look forward to using the product again. I do think it is going to prove to be a really useful and usable product. I will note that in the next iteration that it will get 5 stars if the maker can come up with a way to either 1) allow the user to have some visual verification that the plastic and glass are completely and fully locked together or 2) a protective function that helps to secure the plastic to the glass. The current mechanism is to just twist the top on, however there is no option to see that it is completely and fully tight and there is no secondary protection to provide added safety if the screw top feels tighter than it actually is. All in all, im excited about the product and really appreciative of the customer service. I definitely recommend, though i think there are some improvements that should be considered for V2 of the product.

Very simply, an elegant, simple and easy way to make a great cup of iced coffee. Having chosen to go black coffee for dietary reasons, the Gator has made the switch easy. Coffee is flavorful, less acidic and tasty. And it's an easy process -- add your coffee and water, wait 24 hours, and that's it! makes 2 days worth -- then clean out with water and start all over again. Can't tell you how it works heated up -- it's summer still -- but cold -- sweet!

This is a great product, my only issue is that the container is glass and a little fragile. If it slips out of your hand when you’re washing it, it will break, then you can’t use the entire thing. This happened to me and they were good about getting me a discount on a new one but I’ve also seen plastic models from other companies.
