I wanted a fairly new/modern LED monitor, approx 24" (with a small bezel/border, so there's not much space wasted), and with VGA and DVI connections (and a HDMI connection in addition to those two would be a nice bonus). This monitor met all those criteria.Also, I am much happier with this monitor than a similar Asus I bought (and returned). The Asus always had a yellow-ish look, no matter how I changed the adjustments. The Asus was very disappointing (about 40 of the 3,000 reviews on the Asus complained about a yellow-ish color).My one small complaint about the HP is that the blue light indicating the power is on is much bigger than necessary - see my first 2 pictures, from the front & side view. The 3rd picture shows how I covered all but the front portion of the blue light with black electric tape. This is not a huge problem, and I still gave the monitor a 5-star rating. (At least it doesn't have the huge lighted bar all along the bottom edge like the ViewSonic I was considering!)

First off, I am not a gamer and so I do not need a monitor with rapid response for smooth playback during intense processing. That said, I do use this monitor for viewing TV and film for which its response is entirely up to the task.The monitor is attractively built with a solid base and a narrow bezel around an anti-glare, matte screen. It gives excellent viewing clarity across a wide viewing angle. Colour, brightness etc have a number of presets, plus the option to customize to your own requirements.What else can I say, aside from I am very pleased with my purchase!

I'm using this product for my home PC, so it sets on my desk about two feet from my face. One thing about the ratings: I am not a gamer but did not have that choice so I gave it a five star rating because I'm thinking it has such a great picture there's a gamer out there who'd love it. Did a bit of research for a monitor that was not CRT that would give perfect (or close) viewing capability for watching t.v. programs, YouTube, etc. I am quite happy with my purchase, it's a quality product I would purchase again.

Not bad for the price! I use this as a second monitor for when I edit my YouTube videos! It’s not a great gaming monitor and the color is a bit saturated. The stand is not good it’s a cheap plastic. But for just a second monitor or just surfing the web it’s not bad at all. I recommend it! It’s the one on the right in the photo.

Junk. Tried 3 times to boot. After 3rd try got blue screen of death. Message: STOP CODE: unmountable Boot Volume. Returning item. This after I ordered and had to return a Lenovo desktop that wouldn't turn on. Amazon needs to find different venders. Hp shipped from company: Polly Molly. Going to Best Buy for new desktop.

When I purchased this monitor it was expected to be a temporary, inexpensive substitute for a monitor that the cat literally knocked over and destroyed the screen. This unit is excellent for the price. The included HDMI cord was a nice bonus. Sharp picture with very little, if any, loss of definition at edges. Seamlessly connected to computer and is now the primary monitor of a two monitor set up. For a basic monitor with no frills this is well priced and has performed above expectations. Recommend this as a basic unit.

I love this monitor.. the size of the screen is just perfect size for my desktop work. I love the ability to adjust color, contrast, and brightness. I love the screen size, and the ease of setting it up with an HDMI connection instead of a VGA Cord. I am happy with my purchase and the price was an even better deal than I thought it would be. AMAZON came through for me again.. and again !! Thanks Much !!

My wife wanted to add another monitor to her computer and was using a TV. I bought this one because it is an exact duplicate of the one she has with her computer. Really pleased with the results. Her desk looks much more balanced now with matching monitors. Guess it is time for me to upgrade mine now.
