Esschert Design FB162 Cast Iron Pedestal Birdbath

If I could give this zero stars, I would. Shame on me for not reading the reviews as I usually do. This "birdbath" is not fitting for even a tiny finch, let alone anything larger! Call it what it is, it's a patio decoration that shouldn't have water in it either. It rusted on day two. I won't buy from this brand again.

This alleged bird bath is the sorriest piece of merchandise I ever bought...and for the price? pitiful!I had this outdoors for the sparrows nesting nearby...the water turned the inside of this birdbath to RUST..this is a far cry from calling it cast iron..I am appalled that someone would sell an item that is falsely represented.Each time I change the water, I have to wipe the residue of the Rust out before adding fresh water to protect the birds...at this rate, I may even throw it in the trash. I will never purchase this item or any other from this buyer.Shame on you!

Smaller than expected,, but I think I didn’t read the specs good enough or at all, for that matter.Works well in my smaller raised flower garden an seems to be used by the smaller birds.

Smaller than expected but very pretty and heavy enough to stay on the deck rails. I have a pair of mourning doves that visit my deck daily and they will love their new snack bar!

It looks good as a little decoration (it is indeed very small in size), but it is not a bird bath. It rusts immediately in contact with water.

Good for bird seed. But if it's left outside it rusts.

I completely missed the dimensions, it is tiny, like a soap dish tiny. My fault I didn't read closely for dimensions BUT I had no idea they were going to send me a soap dish either! It's a bird bath, c'mon!

Ganz ehrlich ? Das müsse heißen Deko Artikel !!! Nicht zum Gebrauch bestimmt !!! Und was steht bei Ihnen da ? Esschert Design Vogeltränke, Vogelbad mit kurzem Fuß aus Gusseisen, ca. 24 cm x 15 cm x 13 cm! Die armen Vögel....das ist nicht in Ordnung denn die Produktbeschreibung ist NICHT korrekt, so mal sie die Rücksendung nicht übernehmen.Ich persönlich kaufe bei Ihnen nicht wieder schade um das Geld !Die Rücksendung ist mir zu teuer ich behalte den Dreck Fänger !

Der erste Anblick überzeugt, ein hübsches Produkt. Meine Freude über das Vogelbad legte sich jedoch, nachdem ich Wasser reingefüllt hatte. Es färbte sich nach kurzer Zeit unappetitlich braun, leider hat sich das nicht geändert, obwohl ich einiges versucht habe. Dieses Bad kann ich den Vögeln nicht anbieten, da ich nicht weiß, ob das Wasser giftig ist. Ich nutze das Bad nun anderweitig.

Die Tränke bildet derartig viel Rost, dass das Wasser schon nach 1 Tag rostrot ist. Das kann für die Vögel nicht gut sein. Ich habe auch noch nie einen Vogel dort trinken sehen.Ich habe noch eine alte Eisentränke auf einem hohen Sockel. Die bildet natürlich auch etwas Rost aber bei Weitem nicht so viel. Sie wird auch ständig benutzt.Schade !

Was soll das für eine Vogeltränke sein? Es passt max. ein Schnapsglas voll Wasser rein - das ist ein Witz. Wer wirklich Vögel eine Tränke anbieten möchte, sollte hiervon die Finger lassen. Ich hake das Teil als unnötigen „Nippes“ ab. Die Bezeichnung Deko passt besser.

Sieht zwar schön aus, wenn es neu ist. Jetzt ist die Tränke bereits verrostet und nur noch unansehnlich. Schade ums geld.
