Great buy my kitten is a messy eater and this catches all the little bits

This dish was bought to replace another and it does so perfectly. My 2 adult cats always eat together and are fed behind a baby gate so I needed a dish I could handle 1 handed, this is ideal, I worried the distance between the cat and the actual feeding bowl would be too large but my fears were groundless, the cats can stand right in front of the plastic edge and reach beyond the metal dishes. They were a little cautious initially but it was only for a minute and the food was gone. Excellent product, easy to clean and the colours available are interesting.

I had already purchased one of these when a friends Chihuahua came to stay. I previously owned larger dogs and am in the 50% of owners and vets ( there is a split !) that believe a raised bowl for eating aids digestion and aids and encourages drinking ( I have always noticed my dogs drink more from raised bowls): maybe a combination of it being easier to go down (less gulping) and the steel bowls keeping cold water cool for longer.My raised bowls were much too high though, and this looked perfect for a small dog ( most reviews were cat owners) so I got one.Sure enough, he loved it, drank more, and it was easier to pick up any dropped food (for him and me !) off my carpet.Another friend noticed it when I put it down when "sitting" for her dog (she has a Shih Tzu), and I was telling her the same thing. Before she could think about it I had ordered another one (these come super fast!) as a gift.She also reports more drinking, but also the fact that her dog would drop certain foods onto the floor before eating, so now, they just go onto the plastic tray: much more hygienic and easy to clean.I would not hesitate to recommend this product and supplier.

Comes with grips to attach to the bottom. My kitten found it a bit awkward at first reaching in but she got the hang of it quickly.Brought because my kitten liked to flip her bowls and these are very weighted and no gap around the bowls for them to get their paw under.

I thought this would be a good idea for my Border Terrier , the double feed and drinking bowl , maybe for a smaller dog but she finds it tricky to get her nose in and spends a bit of time chasing her food over the edge to be able to eat it ( the good thing is that it lands on the sloping side not on the floor ! ) and it's not really very " elevated " but it is okay for the cat !! .

I am more than happy with this feeder - it is sturdy, easy to clean, stand complete with bowls can be picked up with one hand and it is not easily kicked across the floor as with single bowls BUT I am not sure my cat likes it as much as I do. The shape of the stand means the cat cannot get right up to the food in the bowl and has to stretch her neck to reach it. Possibly been designed like this because someone has said eating in this position is better for their digestion but I have noticed she will often go round and eat from the side where she can get closer to the food and doesn't have to stretch. Could be she finds this a more comfortable position or it could be her being lazy - afraid I don't the answer and she is not prepared to tell me!!!

It does reduce spilling but it doesn't completely eliminate it as you can see from the photo, however my cat may just be particularly messy! It is very big, probably too big for my 9 month old BSH cat but he will soon grow into it. It seems sturdy and my cat doesn't have any problems using it. Overall a good product and worth the purchase

I have just received this order. Both bowls have arrived tarnished but one by far worse than the other with black stains covering the bowls inner surface. I tried to clean these off to no avail so it does appear to be a fault in the metal itself. The bowls aren't nice and shiny as are shown in the photos and feel very flimsy. The tray bit, however, does feel nice and sturdy. It's a shame about the bowls as this would otherwise have been a perfect purchase!Dissapontingly trying to contact anyone from Amazon now seems near impossible without completing a full return. I just need some replacement bowls! Since I have the new house guest arriving tomorrow I don't have time to faff about with a return and replacement. Atleast it wasn't expensive I suppose.
