This bulb gives off a very warm color, and it's almost impossible to tell the difference between it and the 25W incandescent next to it. In our fixture there's a very slight color difference compared to the 25W, but it's only noticeable when dimmed to below 50%. At lower power, the light is slightly whiter than the incandescent counterpart. If you only have these bulbs, though, you won't be able to tell at all.One issue we ran into was related to our dimmer switch, which has a built-in light for finding it in the dark. Because there's constant power going through the switch, and the switch isn't designed for such low voltage bulbs, the lights in our fixture all stayed on (very dimly) even when the switch was off. These bulbs are so efficient, there just wasn't enough resistance to stop them from lighting up. You can fix this by leaving one of the bulbs as incandescent like we did, or you can fix it the proper way by replacing your switch with one designed for LED bulbs.

Had to get a replacement bulb for my Howard Miller grandfather clock. Wasn't sure of the bulb type...the HM web site is totally useless for bulb specifications and there is no obvious way to contact them by email and ask. But I found one review for this bulb by someone who had a HM clock and said it worked perfectly, so I took a chance. My experience was the same. It was the right size, fit fine, and works very well. Just as bright as the original incandescent and has a warm glow, not harsh white. More than I wanted to spend but at least I (hopefully) won't be replacing the bulb every year like I was before. Arrived promptly and in tact. Highly recommended.

The bulbs were clear, bright and built well. My frustration is on their return process, I sent back the bulbs based on a sizing issue and now the company is telling me I did not send all the bulbs back.......which I did.

After nine months of light use in a lamp over a piano, this bulb has started to alternate (every few seconds) from bright to less bright. I was hoping for a longer life that that out of an LED bulb. I'll try another brand this time.

Good packaging, perfect fit T10 bulb. Light is more yellow/orange than expected, but works just fine. A lot brighter than the 25W incandescent that was replaced.

Used a few hours a day and not every day; stopped working after less than 3 years.

Not dimmable.

So far very happy with this. I'm using this in a Howard Miller grandfather clock. Max wattage is 25 watts on an incondesent bulb. This is spot on. Looks identical as far as the lumens goes. I wouldn't say 40 is even close. Hope this helps someone who is on the fence.
