Works great! Especially since I’m running for first time after purchasing 3 years ago!
Using for the first time (hurricane Milton) after purchasing 3 years ago.Have run 3 propane tanks through it and now unleaded gas (since we can’t get propane anywhere).Has powered 2 refrigerators and a portable AC without any issues. Definitely could run more but am trying to conserve fuel. The propane tanks last 5+ hours with this load.Pieces of advice:1. Make sure your battery is ready BEFORE the storm or you’ll be running all over town looking for one like I did.2. Familiarize yourself with how it works before you need it. The manuals pictures leave a lot to be desired.3. Have a transfer switch installed in your house and by the adaptor cables so you don’t have to run extension cords (doing this asap).

Good buy
Just got the generator today. Came in less than a week. Put it together ( handles and wheels) put about a quart of oil in it, hooked a propane tank to it and started on the second pull. ( Battery was dead, needs charged of course) Let it run for about 30 min...runs very well. Plan on using it for back up power for power outages for our home. Didn't give it 5 stars because haven't seen how it will do until it gets hooked up to the house. I think it's a good buy. Can't justify a few thousand dollars for a Honda with the same wattage. This will do just fine.

Works awesome, great customer service.
This generator has worked great for me since purchasing it. The carburetor does not seem super sensitive to old fuel as I have let gas sit in it for over 6 months twice and after draining the old gas out it fires right up.I have had 2 problems, 1 of which was of my own creation and the 2nd a minor foreseeable problem I should have known to keep an eye on. I had to fix the keyed ignition switch after the generator had sat outside in the rain for a few months, uncovered, then I finally put the cover on it.... water had gotton inside the switch and corrosion was blocking the terminals from sending power from the battery to the starter solenoid and was keeping the switch from making contact in the start position which prevents spark going to plug, so it couldn't even be started manually or by jumping power to the starter. Obviously this corrosion was my fault, not the manufacturers. I looked on JD Powers website for a replacement ignition switch and couldn't find it, so I used the contact us function on their website and within 30 minutes I was emailed back with a direct part number for the correct switch, which was only $14. In dealing with the switch and trying to diagnose the problem, I had the generator torn apart pretty good and all of the internal wiring seems very well put together and secure. The only other problem is the nuts have vibrated off of the rubber pads, which is to be expected with any type of equipment such as a generator with a lot of vibration. I should have been tightening them more often, though it would be nice if a hefty amount of locktite were used as these things are built. But overall, I am very satisfied with the generator and customer service.

So far, all that was promised and even more.
I will update the review in 4 months after the hurricane season of 2020. SO FAR the unit was provided as promised and then the set up was easy, the registration easy and the testing...EASY. Get this ...no where can I find literature that states for a fact that the 10K Dual Fuel ( I have twin 100 lbs. propane tanks, good for 5-7 days CONTINUOUS USE) unit will run the entire home, including air handler. BUT EVERY SINGLE TECHNICIAN involved in either the set up or to inspect the process says that it will do the job with room to spare. My home is only 1,100 sq ft and I am going to kill unnecessary rooms and circuits reducing the cool air demand to 750 Sq ft. Along with the windows covered in white 1/2" plywood, providing along with the window protection from wind, now the solar blocking and insulation, this home will be an ice box, with the AC unit (and this unit is a great ECO model from Rheem) making far fewer cycles, less starting up (which makes a great power demand and is not good for the generator if it 'bogs down' too much during such 'start ups")making for a smooth emergency power supply operating with out worry. I am using OEM parts for back up including spark plugs and fuel filter medium and using FULL SYNTHETIC oil to ensure long life. OMT to ensure that one keeps up with the running time of the motor, American Power has in installed a gauge that keeps the time for you making for a good routine maintenance on the filters and the oil.

Keep shopping. This is not so great.
When it worked (once) it was fine. It was difficult starting it because the instructions failed to mention that you have to be sure the battery is hooked up completely. A wire was hanging and there was no nut to attach it to. We jerry-rigged it so the wire was somewhat attached to the battery. Once that mystery was solved, the generator ran fine. The next time the power went out, I tried to start the generator again. No luck. The wire to the battery was attached and all systems seemed to be exactly as they should have been, but still a no-go. I finally called a mechanic, who came to the house, and he could not figure out the problem right away. Eventually, he noticed that the hook for the choke control had broken off. He took the generator to his garage, and one of the other mechanics made a hook for the choke control. He also noticed that the oil level meter/gauge was not operating, so he told me to check it regularly when I have to run the generator. Though I'm glad to have a generator in an emergency, this particular one is not reliable and I wish that I had chosen a different one.
