Accurate fault detector for the price.
WARNING: ELECTRICITY IS FATAL AND CAN KILL YOU. TAKE APPROPRIATE PRECAUTION BEFORE ATTEMPTING REPAIRS ON ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS.The MX 1177 works quite well, it's a small form factor voltage detector with three pins, and it works on most standard switchboards without problems. The front has three LEDs which glow accordingly to the status of the wiring in the switchboard. I've seen some reviews that mentioned that all the LEDs glow regardless of the status of the connection, but that's not true in my case. The lights glow appropriately and I've been able to figure out that three switchboards in my house were wired incorrectly (power and neutral wires inverted). I opened the switchboards and sure enough, each of the switchboards had inverted power and neutral wires.The only problem with the unit itself is that it's a bit difficult to fit into all kinds of switchboards as the pins are spaced wider than usual (by approximately .2-.4mm) which can make some switchboards feel a bit dangerous to plug into. A little bit of fiddling and the plug will fit but please be careful as to not use too much force as the chassis of the plug or switchboard plate may get damaged.This is an easy recommend, does the job and is cheap. 4 stars because I've purchased it recently, the fifth can only be given to things that last longer than 6 months!

tested on real defective line
electrician tried to cheat me saying that the line is reversed and bla bla. I ordered this fault detector to find out everything is right using this product.I counter checked a defective line, which i knew, with no earthing, shown me the defect. so i believed this product.

Damage and not working product
Unusable product line supply checking faulty when it plugged in the sockets 😑😑

Price should be less than <=200 as the design and quality is not great.
It is functional but does not even fit properly on 6A sockets. A bit disappointing.
