I plugged it into a Windows 10 computer which recognized it and set it right up. I did have to switch the two midi plugs around as I had them in the wrong sockets, so try that if you don't get it to work right away. I was then able to send midi signals from my keyboard to a web page through Chrome and able to play notes from the web on the keyboard. I don't know how durable etc. this is, but it certainly worked as advertised.

I'm using this to connect a Strymon Timeline to my computer to use the Strymon Nixie app, and I should have listened to Strymon's advice NOT to use a plug-n-play MIDI cable cause this has trouble writing presets back to the Timeline. Sometimes it will, but most of the time, it doesn't work. I THINK (this is unverified) it also caused a weird feedback loop with my amp when I tried to mic it one time (I haven't had the same issue with mic'ing when this cable isn't connected). But it does SOME stuff okay. And it's a lot cheaper than a MIDI audio interface.Edit:I plugged this in again like a month after writing this review and the Nixie app couldn't even detect my device, so I changed this from 3 stars to 1 star. It basically NEVER worked completely and now it doesn't work at all. Piece of trash. Don't buy it.

works perfectly except with Cubase 5 who doesn't recognize it . I'm still working on that .But other sequencers I've tried run fine with the interface .

Easy to use. Solves a number of MIDI related challenges as I have a bunch of FireWire controllers, keyboards, etc.
