Mine arrived in brand new OEM Brother packaging that looked to be unopened and direct from the manufacturer. I opened the package and it looks just like the one that came with the printer so, I am confident that it will work as I need it to even though I have not yet used it. I know, I know - never assume.However, after ordering this, I watched a few YouTube videos on how to open and clean out your WT223CL waste toner cartridge. This was relatively easy to do and worked like a charm! I did it on a bunch of newspaper in my enclosed patio and wore disposable gloves.I could just send this new cartridge back for a refund but chose to keep it as a spare. Sometime down the road, when the printer again tells me to replace the waste toner cartridge, I will pop in the new one and take my time cleaning the old one again. That way, I will always have a backup.As our original Brother toner cartridges ran out, I replaced them with different brands of non-OEM cartridges and have found that they leaked toner. As a result, I have had to clean up spills from inside the printer a couple of times and this probably contributed to the waste toner cartridge filling up. My next set of toner cartridges will be OEM (despite the cost!) just so that I may evaluate printer performance.Nevertheless, if you do not want to deal with the mess of cleaning your old WT223CL, swapping out the old with a new one is simple to do if you follow the included instructions. There is an orange tab that secures the cartridge in your printer but you just twist it to “unlock” it, swap out the cartridge, then put the orange tab back. Once you have done it, you will realize how easy it is.Hopefully, this review was helpful to you.

Simply a box to collect toner overflow - hard to find in any stores. Probably should last longer than they do, but it was easy to install and back up running.

September 12, 2021: I bought this on Aug 10, 2021. I replaced it the week before school opened. It's now the end of the 1st week of school. Printed less than 40 pages. And I had to replace it again! This is ridiculous! The first bin lasted 2 years! This one barely lasts 2 weeks? Nah. It's either brother's printer settings are off or this thing is a dud. There must be a defect with this printer mfc-l3750cdw or the printer settings or all these toner boxes are coming 3/4 full. Can someone help? This is becoming unsustainable. And when I replaced the box this time I got a message immediately saying Warning about Waste Toner box life. Crazy!
