GREAT Product & Company
Bed & Chair Pad with ONE Patient Monitor. $49.95 & free shipping. This is my 3rd monitor alarm & I wish I'd gotten it first! It's my favorite by far.I love that it's got the choice of a low or high volume & 2 sounds. The tone setting is pretty annoying, but there are situations where that is a very good thing & I may need it in the future, but so far I'm using the 'music' on the loudest setting & it's working out great. The fact that you only have to press the button once to reset it (shut the alarm off) is a godsend. I have another chair alarm I got before (a yellow one, also n Amazon, Patient Safety Corp's #14CSET-1Y) & besides not being loud enough, you have to hold the button down to shut if off & it doesn't always work right, so then you have to release & press & hold again - sometimes several times before it shuts up. My Mom can't always get up in one go, so she often does this little 1-2-3 bounce on the chair to get up & you can just imagine how frustrating that is with the other alarm. This one is SO MUCH BETTER & Safer!Safer for when she gets up out of bed, this is so easy to use - just hit once so I can immediately help my Mom & don't have to spend the entire time it takes me to assist her to the commode listening to an alarm! Plus that also helps so the other caretaker & I both don't get fully woken up, because with a quick shut off, only one of us has to come down to help her. (We use a baby monitor so we can hear alarm in our bedrooms on different floors - also on Amazon VTech 221-2 Audio Baby Monitor, which is also great.)The cord is really nice too, being flat & thin compared to a thicker curly (think old phones, cord on handset) on the other brand's yellow one. This one is just like the flat cord to wall from a phone (same plug style too which is nice & easy for me to use, but for my Mom not as easy as the headphone style jack on the other one), Mom would always complain about the curly cord being uncomfortable if she wound up on any part of it. She hasn't complained about this one once & it doesn't get caught up in the bedding either. The alarm unit is great too, with a sleek fairly compact design & the multiple attachments make it so much more convenient when you have to attach it to oddly shaped things like a lamp pole or a piece of a chair or whatever some one needs, the choice of so many attachments methods is very versatile - 3 styles of clips (which can be interconnected to make a longer clip too) & adhesive velcro.I like this better than the magnet pull alarm (yup, on Amazon, Medline Advantage Magnetic Alarm) which even though it's the loudest ever - ear piercingly loud - it lets the the patient get too far away before coming off & my Mom's figured out how to take the clip off even though we place it behind between her shoulder blades. If it had a draw string type pull clip for the cord so it was easily adjustable & stayed put where you adjusted it would be much closer to perfect, but it doesn't) so this pad alarm system is better because it gives goes off the instant the patient gets up.The company's customer service is stellar & their assistance has been invaluable. Their above & beyond customer service is simply amazing, I don't think there are words enough to express how impressed I was with their prompt response to my queries & readiness to resolve any problems.I had been leery to purchase this at first as it didn't come with Prime Shipping & there were no reviews, but I finally took a chance because of all the extra features this had over the others, plus the TWO pads & the price was so good, seemed almost too good to be true, but I'm so glad I did finally try this one.I haven't had this very long, but so far I'm very impressed. I'll update if anything changes.I've never even heard of this company before, didn't get paid in any way shape or form by anyone to write this review. I wrote it because I think it's just as important to tell people when you really like something, not just when you don't. I read reviews & they help me when making decisions about what to get, so I feel I should give back by writing some of my own so maybe I can help some other customers too.

Amazing bed alarm! Highly recommend
Was even better than I could have imagined. Great product for the price. Has 2 settings, and alarm and music. You can also turn the sound to low or high.

Prevents falls with the quick alert.
Needed for hospice patient. Due to brain cancer my brother would get out of out bed without help. This alerted us right away and prevented his falling. Later had to use for his wife during her hospice time. Very easy to use.

Malfunctioned
I put this on my mom’s bed but the alarm kept going off even when she was not on the bed. Then I could not shut off the alarm. Got frustrated and removed it.

Works Great - But Not For Long!
This product is very helpful. My Mom is always trying to get up on her own as her dementia prevents her from remembering that she cannot. We use it on the bed as well as her place on the couch. The cord length does present a challenge on the bed as it isn’t very long. The REAL problem is that the little clip, on the plug into the alarm box, wears out and the plug won’t stay in. Fragile hard plastic is not sustainable and you cannot replace that cord as it is permanently attached to the alarm pad. We have worn out 2 in only 6 months.
