Q: Just got mine, fitted one end on the tap, one on the hose, any reason when i turn on the tap, the pressure blows them apart? seems to be locked in.

Please make sure the tap connector is tightly connect into the hose end connector.If you connect correctly, you will hear a "click"voice, then it is very difficult to sperate them apart.

Q: Are these compatible with hozelock fittings?

Yes, certainly they fitted mine, which were a mixture of Hozelock and clones.
