Bird Cherry Powder (Flour), Gluten free, 300gr/10.58oz by Siberian Green Food

Good product, the taste and smell is consistent with the real product. I liked it!

My fiance who is from Siberia requested a cheromukhovy tort, or bird cherry cake, for his birthday so I happily obliged. This bird cherry flour was delicious and high quality. For those not familiar, it tastes very much like marzipan, with almond and cherry notes. The texture is a bit "gritty," so if you're familiar with almond flour it is similar to that texture.

I purchased this flour on a whim after seeing an interesting recipe for a bird cherry cake. Bird cherry flour was described as having a slight almond / cherry flavor. It also seems to have a richness and texture similar to pumpernickel. After serving this at a tea others also mentioned those flavors. My cake was paired with lingonberry cream and lingonberries. Surprisingly this was also a hit with children several of whom came back for another slice.Bird cherry flour is gluten free and the box that I ordered had 3 small individually sealed pouches weighing 100g with 3/4c in each.

Love this flour for its almond aroma. The cakes I made with it are delicious.

I used this flour for Russian authentic bird cherry cake and it came out amazing!
