Worked really well and charged quicker than anticipated - used for BMW X5 AGM Battery
Arrived in a box without a seal or any internal plastic wrapping. May have been a return. However worked just fine. Connected to the Positive terminal used for jumpstart (not to battery) and Neutral to hex bolt on chassis used for grounding. The charger screen recognised the outside temperature and adjusted the charge automatically (winter) as it was a cold day. Battery level indicator showed a low charge. I set the charge type required to AGM, as this is the battery type my car has and this is important to check. The unit began automatically showing an 8amp charge and as the battery began to fill up, it dropped to 6amp then 2amp automatically to manage the flow. I thought it might take at least 24hrs+ on a trickle charge but it took just 4 hrs to fully charge because of the type of battery this car has. The charger automatically switched off when 100% charge was reached. Very happy with the unit.

WOW what a charger, especially for the price
Normally I never write reviews but had to for this!I have a large 019 wet battery for my 2.7l Cerc E class which has been draining over the years and as I work in the city or go on holiday the battery drains quickly due to the massive amount of electronics the car has.I have a family friend at a garage who has repeatedly charged it on his professional chargers over this time but going back to December he basically said he tried for over three days and it would not hold charge on any setting anymore (slow, fast, trickle) - and he is using a top of the line charger for mechanics (a few hundred quid) - his advice was to just buy a new battery and chuck this as it was finished now.looking to sell my car, I bought a second hand one hoping that it will be enough to start the car and whoever buys it can then deal with changing the batter , covid comes, no1 comes to buy and guess what it drains the other battery completely after 2 days of not starting.I found this charger and thought i need to invest in one anyway, i took my original battery and whacked it on Repair mode for around 12 hours (didn't have any hope but just tried).i turned the power off and disconnected the black lead and reattached, it now confusingly showed 100% on repair function so i assume it was charged, put it in the car and not even a crank when trying to start the car - completely deadi then put it on the charge function overnight, and it started charging (the capacity gauge was showing as it was charging up) but it was like this for hours, i was starting to think its charging but the battery is not holding any charge even 20%, so i thought lets leave it overnightwhen i checked in the morning it said battery was 100% and had turned off automatically, i then put it back on repair mode for a few hours, put it back in the car and BOOM, started first time! this charger is another level, professional garages couldn't even charge this and judging by other reviews its the same.the instruction are pretty rubbish but its so simple, i basically repaired it, charged it and then repaired again for good measure, you only have 4 settings and everything is automatic! - i am shocked ppl are moaning about the charger quality of build, i think its fantastic, it isn't a heavy duty battery but it isn't flimsy!

Just a good charger
Easy to use and does the job, I don't use my car every day so this economically priced charger keeps the battery nicely topped up especially in the winter.

If you have a car you should get one of these
At the start of the covid lockdown in March 2020 my car was in the garage for a couple of weeks without moving, the battery drained down and my old charger didn't work at all. A friend recommended a charger/maintainer so on his advice I bought this from Amazon and it charged up my car within 5 or 6 hours. My car doesn't get used a lot and the battery has drained a couple of times since, I have used the charger to rectify this.I have only used it on the recharge setting so can't comment on any of the other settings switches for motorbikes and repairing a battery, it charges up within a few hours and switches itself off when this is done. It have saved me from having to call someone out to get my car going again and is good value for money.

Read and UNDERSTAND all the instructions before proceeding! Just a bit noisy but is not for bedroom using...!Recomend to have for any garage no matter how is your car!

Love it.
Firstly, I am no mechanic, nor do I profess to know the first thing about cars. My profession is IT so when I'm asked about something in a car, I'm completely lost. So for the 2nd time in 12 months, my car had a flat battery. As I didn't want to ask my neighbour a few doors down (again) to jump start me, I thought I'd invest in one of these chargers so I read the reviews and I landed on this one.Well! - What a doddle. So, you start by connecting the red to the positive terminal and the black to the earth point (my earth was an unpainted bolt not too far from the positive point). You need to make sure the earth is far from the battery, unless your battery is in your boot like mine.I then connected it to the main and powered it in. You then touch the finger print button and each touch cycles through one of 4 modes. I selected vehicle and it began to charge. It flashes through 20, 40, 60, 80, 100% and once each percentage is charged, that percentage stops flashing, while the others continue. Once the battery is fully charge, all segments stop flashing and it says 'OFF' meaning the battery is fully charged and the circuit has stopped charging the battery. - I couldn't believe how easy it was.It took me 8-8.5 hours to fully charge my battery from completely flat to full. I realise this product has received some negative reviews but I can't understand why, maybe they were one offs? - I can't score this thing highly enough and the best thing - I'm not owing to any neighbours AND, I don't need to take it for a drive for 30 mins to charge the battery as it's fully charged (although I did take it for a little test spin). All in all, I'm very happy with this charger.
