Totally delicious caviar!!!
This caviar is absolutely delicious! No salt, no additives! If desired, just add to it fresh or green onions, &, olive oil (or cod liver oil)... I just LOVE it! Ordering it again! Thank you!!!

Unhealthy looking, at least!
Please, read for your sake, as well check the pictures. This is not a roe but, as stated previously, a male cod sperm... Would not recommend for various reasons. However, most upsetting, they provide no tracking; ship time is very extended; packed so poorly that 3 of the tins are smashed, actually, it's quite possible, were smashes even prior shipping, how otherwise it's possible for 3 in a row to be ruined? Anyway, would not suggest nor recommend.

Nice flavor not much for the price.
Expensive compared to England nice flavor though.

need to order well in advance
served on toast, add some fresh ground black pepper, very nutritious, apparently can only be obtained by ordering from the UK, John West is a we'll notable brand in the UK and is always high quality

"Soft cod roe" is sperm.
This is called "soft cod roe" because that is what the manufacturer labeled them, and it's sort of a food phrase used to describe the sperm rather than the eggs. That being said, straight out of the can, it has little flavor, a mushy texture, and fishy smell to it. It needs cooking and seasoning.

For those who like them and can afford them
A favorite delicacy since childhood in England. But they ain't cheap, so an occasional treat.
