This little charger is perfect for a permanent mount. The clip that attaches to it uses Velcro, but I'm hoping that the charger itself lasts long enough that I have to replace the fabric strap.The cables are short, which is what you want for something like this. The cord is accessible when I want to plug it in using an extension cord, and it's out of the way when I'm not using it. I don't have to worry about it getting tangled up with the other wiring or straps.I have it mounted next to the trailer battery on my RV. It is directly connected to the battery so it can trickle charge while the battery is disconnected from the rest of the trailer. This is handy because sometimes when a trailer sits around the battery just gets drained down. If I've been using the jack a lot and my truck hasn't been connected long enough enough to fully recharge it, I just connect it to the outlet on the side of my trailer and let it charge from there whether my trailer is getting power from a utility or generator.

I own three of this exact model, and they've all been working perfectly for a couple years at this point. I have these wired into all of my vehicles which are driven only seasonally, and they've been great. When I park something that will be stationary for more than a month I just grab an extension cord, and plug the charger in, and then I have complete faith that the vehicle is going to re-start normally next time I want to use it. Even at full retail price for these, their ease of use and dependability makes them well worth the money being asked. I replaced too many cheap battery maintainers and batteries before I gave in and started buying name brand stuff, and I really wish I'd switched earlier. It doesn't take many failed automotive batteries caused by failed cheap chargers to vastly outweigh the price of just buying these good maintainers.

I have a fair number of add-on electronics in my truck (a 2021 Toyota Tacoma), and I also sometimes don't drive my truck for many weeks. I had a couple of instances in the past where I went to drive it after a fairly long while and the battery had drained too low to start it. Ever since I added this in and have started plugging my truck in when it's just sitting I haven't had any issues at all. I purchased this as a battery tender to my 12 volt diesel fuel pump battery. Works great! It is a 24/7 Battery tender/charger. It shuts off when it isn't needed. Very compact and easy to use. I’ve had multiple noco chargers for my boat and use this one for my starter battery. Only negative is it won’t work on lithium. I originally ordered to charge my graph battery but had to change plans when I read the manual. Says only for up to 60ah battery but it seems fine on my 100ah cranking battery. Kept it since it was cheap and I didn’t want to spend triple the price on a lithium compatible, just needed to do some rewire in the boat.

I have two Yamaha FXHO Waverunners. The original lead acid battery that came from the factory on my 2021 model always starts without issue even if it sets up all winter. My 2007 with a new AGM battery always has trouble starting if I don't run it frequently. Leaving it idle all winter killed the previous battery. The units came with zero instructions. I had to return to the Amazon listing to see an explanation of the red and green solid/pulsing lights on the units. The packaging does state that it is for batteries up to 40ah. I just installed two of the Noco Genius 2D devices and will come back here to update how they are performing.

These battery chargers/maintainers work perfectly. I use them on all my vehicles and boat batteries, and I haven’t had to replace a single battery in years. Installation is a breeze, and I just leave them connected full-time. Couldn’t be happier with the results.
