Worth the money if you are a serious tea drinker. Lasted 8 years
For people who love their tea. Love this Kettle. I am from Ireland and drink a lot of tea and probably use my kettle 10 times a day. I literally went through 6? 8? kettles. Was tried of buying a new one every few months/year. I had a Dualit toaster and they are built like a tank - basic but tough and long lasting - so that is what inspired me to try the kettle.I bought my current one in 2017. I came on here today as it is finally starting to give trouble. The switch does not stay down fully so it cuts out. Panic. I am buying another one straight away as it is a bit of an emergency to not have a working kettle. It has been a solid friend and now I will put it out to pasture and buy another Dualit kettle. Not messing around.PS I tried to buy aqua panels for this kettle to match my Dualit Aqua toaster but was never able to figure out how to get them shipped from the UK. Not been able to find them in the US yet. LMK if you figure this out.

Perfect Kettle
I have been looking for a new kettle for some time now and finally have found the perfect one! The kettle is stainless steel and looks fabulous on my counter. The handle is plastic, but I don't mind because it makes the kettle lighter, which is important. The kettle has some great features I was looking for: nice even pour, heats up really quickly, large capacity, large pop-up lid makes filling easy, and it is very quiet. I have tried a lot of other brands (Smeg/Aarkle/Boden) but none function/look like this kettle. I tried a kettle with the multiple temperature options, but this got annoying fast because someone will heat at a low temp and forget to change it back to the high temp and I end up making tea with tepid water. The bottom line is that I am super happy with how this kettle functions and it looks amazing!

Lasted about 46 months
It's generally a good kettle when it works. Unfortunately mine died 2 months before it's 4th anniversary. Also, because of its design, neither the fuse nor the heating element are replaceable, meaning that you have to throw it away. That's unacceptable for a dualit product which boasts making "lifetime" products. Because the warranty is only for 2 years, there are no other options but to throw this away.

Plastic parts :/
Nice looking, though utilitarian. Unfortunately, it is not stainless steel through and through. If plastic is an issue for you, then this pot will drop lower on your list. Many of the kettles that are truly plastic free are made by unknown brands, or have lids that are not plastic underneath but are also not stainless steel (hello, Zwilling and mold pics). Seems like you’ll need to compromise somewhere… someone

A sleek, fast-boiling electric kettle with a short life
I like the weight and feel of this kettle. It is all metal so no plastic touches the water which is a crucial consideration for a cancer survivor who drinks lots of tea. I bought it to replace the hand-me-up from my daughter who moved to London. Like in many of the other reviews, the on/off button stopped working or stopped connecting and I bought this refurbished one at a slightly lower price. The other advantage is the Dualit name - we always had Dualit toasters when my kids were growing up. It boils very quickly though it is a little noisy. The disadvantage is that the size is deceiving. The max fill line is quite low and it doesn't hold too much water. The water in Los Angeles even filtered, has a lot of residue, so it does need to be brushed out from time to time. It's not super easy to clean because it can't be immersed in water (obviously) but it's not much more difficult than other kettles. The temperature control is basic, it's on or off. No keeping it warm or different temperatures for white, green or black teas.

Broke after two years of use :(
Very disappointed by the quality and longevity for the price. Paid almost 200 for something that lasted barely two years. The disjoncter stops working and the top of the boiler got bent.

Probably the best electric kettle available in the USA
Update: We have had this kettle for over 6 years now, still good as new seeing we use it at least six times a day.It boils quick & is nice and shiny. Love Dualit products! After reading the reviews for US designed kettles, I had to find British or German. Glad I found Dualit. Love it!Only downside is I personally hate blue LED lights.
