This thing is good.I always loved using Dura-Blocks, but I never needed the whole set. So when I found out I could get just this block alone, I jumped on it.The material is nice and thick, and very stiff. I use this mainly to denib, or just to block down a whole panel before I start buffing.I've also used this for dry sanding primer and filler, and the sandpaper roll adhesive sticks well.It works well, is reasonably priced, so 5 stars from me.

when the pad arrived earlier today, i thought it was much too firm and small to do any good at all. then i wrapped some 400-grit paper around it and played on the roof of my car. I was instantly amazed. the block is much easier to grasp than i had anticipated, and it easily removed the top layer of paint with just a few circular motions. i am impressed. the website says to use a half-sheet of sand paper, but i found that to be wasteful as a half-sheet wraps around the block three times leaving a single surface with which to sand. i found using a quarter-sheet was much less wasteful and just as productive. i'm actually looking forward to tomorrow morning when i need to sand the primed hood with some 600 paper in preparation for painting. the block is much too firm, though it does bend some, for cornered surfaces, but for flat, or nearly so, it's a wonderful sanding aid. i'll order another very soon.

I am a autobody painter and I have an assortment of blocks... but these are my go to favorites! They last forever... if only I didn't lose them! Thankfully they are fairly priced so I can keep a stock.

It is a block of foam. Nothing more. Strangely, it is patented. Twice. Two patent numbers printed on it. Look them up, it is for a foam block.Do you think that they were the first to think of using foam as a sanding block? No way. But, apparently, they were the first to think of "owning" this idea.I have been using foam, wood, rubber, etc. to sand things for decades. Probably even Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) foam, as this one is. The patents were filed in 2013 and 2016. Maybe I'll claim "Prior Art", the legal term for "hey, you sure didn't invent this, because I (and probably thousands of others) did it a long time ago!"It says on it "20 PCF thickness". Did Dura-Block invent a new unit of thickness? Inches, or millimeters are not descriptive enough for this product? No, "PCF" is a density measurement, pounds per cubic foot. It is used for low density solids like polymer foams. I have no idea why it is given for thickness, a simple linear measurement. It is like saying, "my car weighs 2.26 acres." Dumb. Cubits would make more sense.For sanding, it works fine, but the BS hype makes me wish I had just cut out a piece of free packing material rather than pay $7. Seems like it's existence has more to do with salesmen than inventing a better, different product. I bought it, though.

This is a hard to find sanding block that is a MUST in any body shop. What makes it different from the other blocks is:It's a ligjtweight foam block, but is VERY firm and flat. The others are all soft and flexible, which is good for curved surfaces like a bumper cover corner. This block is good for flat, or very slightly curved surfaces like a hood, roof, door, etc. Anything close to flat.It's firm enough that I use it daily with adhesive backed 80 grit to sand body filler over dings on flat surfaces. I also use it with 180 or 220 dry to flat block filler primer or thick.Then, I also use it to block out primer with wet 400 or 600 wrapped around it. Also use it to wet sand clearcoat with 1500 and 2000.Great wet or dry. Perfect firmness. I prefer it over the larger full palm size blocks.

Great block never fails know how to use the block with sand paper it’s all in the hand pressure movements all that together for best results . I always get this exact one every 5 months
