Very easy to use
I am new to bee keeping & this tool was very helpful in my extraction process. Sometimes honey frames are not yet capped but the honey is “ready” others still need time. Very helpful in knowing which frames to return to the hive to extract later. Reasonable price. Would recommend & very easy to use

Very happy with this purchase
A must have for beekeepers. Works perfectly at a fraction of the price compared to supply stores. Very accurate when compared to an expensive one. Comes with a nice case to protect it.

Worked really well right out of the box
You can spend a lot of money on a honey refractometer, but you don't need to spend more than this if you're a hobby beekeeper like me. I've used this one for more than a year now, and I'm really happy with it. It comes with its own case, which is handy. Just make sure to read the instructions should you think it needs some calibration. Mine worked really well out of the box.

How much sugar?
It may be okay, but it's hard to read the result.

Compared it to another much older model and it's spot on
Bought to test my honey with and it works well. Required a tiny adjustment to calibration using EVOO and then I compared it to another beekeeper's tester and it was spot on. Much less than the same thing from a honey bee supply house by a LOT. I like to support local but three Jackson's is a lot of money.
