Ok so I was hesitant to buy this because all the reviews were whining about the taste, but decided to try it anyway and glad I did. Seriously guys?! Are you that picky? It’s a ground up berry. It tastes like tart fresh cranberries with a bit of white pepper. It’s good and if you put it in water or your drink then you can’t taste it at all. I, personally, like tart tasting things. I take a lot of supplements and some of them taste like motor oil, but so what..if it helps it helps. Suck it up. No need in this case because This product is delicious! Honestly I just take a tad of the powder on the end of a spoon and put it on my tongue until a bit of saliva mixes in and then swallow it. No jittery feeling at all. It gives me energy and also some pain relief. Don’t take it too late in the day or might keep you awake.

Wow, this powder is amazing. It’s delish, I mix it in juice or water, not sure if the powder/liquid combination is the reason but it takes half an hour and I have immense energy, clarity and am really upbeat. I respond in general better to powdered stuff that tablets, I am just floored how amazing this is. Wow. Ok. This stuff went above and beyond my expectations. Now let me preface:I was using waaaaay more than the recommended dose. Which I do NOT recommend. While it made my mood literally feel like I was taking an SSRI (I’m dead serious), it made my joints hurt like that fiery hot place.Then I realized taking too much of this stuff can cause joint pain and also cause blood clots. So. Do with that what you will. I’ve continued taking it almost daily but at the recommended dose, which is very small. I will keep buying it when I run out. I don’t even care that it’s a super food - I will buy it for the mood boost alone.

I like to try different kinds of berries for adventure. When you open the package, it is a reddish brown. I tired a little with my keto strawberry yogurt. It just tasted a little more zesty with the powder.I am not interested in the medicinal qualities but more in the flavor. I researched the health claims and found that they have not been proven so far research studies. I want avod tart and sour flavors and I think that is solved by simply using a smaller amount than suggested on the package/

This organic Schisandra is pretty good. I was surprised at first because I thought it would taste like a fruit. But is has a salty, possibly "smokey" flavor combined with a tart sweetness. (It is really hard to define. There is nothing like it.) But it is enjoyable and it has grown on me in the short time since I bought it. Very good for cleansing and brain function. I have at least one large cup per day. It dissolves very nicely in hot water. In fact, I even combine it with another product I just reviewed called "Dandy", a coffee substitute. They go together nicely in my opinion. As for cost, organic Schisandra is kind of pricey no matter where you get it, but this price is better than elsewhere. Hope you try it.
