At this size, it would be difficult to get great adhesion. If anything pulls a disc off, it won't re-stick, but as long as you keep the discs in place until you are finished with them, then they hold up pretty well. Be careful to center the discs to minimize the chances of them getting caught on something and flying off. I will be ordering more! :)

Got this kit to use for an electric toothbrush sander i wanted to make. I needed to cut the pads down to size but each pads cuts down to 2 pads for the toothbrush sander. It actually works pretty well for it. The velcro on the back of the pads seems like junk but the pads don't fall off. The foam polishing pads seemed like a gimmick at first but they actually work reasonably well. I haven't tried to make something mirror smooth yet but I bet you could with enough patience.

I love this kit. It makes smoothing out carvings a breeze. Started out good, but now the pad mandrel will not hold the disc, they just fly off on the lowest speed.

I needed it extremely fine sanding discs to use with my Rotary tool to try to restore the shine to an etched area of my granite countertop– exactly what I was looking for

I make jewellery, refurbish old tools and engage in leatherwork and wood carving. This set is excellent for the range of sanding discs included and I was surprised at how useful the small, manual ‘sanding’ block is when you have a small task and don’t want to break out the Dremel or Foredom. Excellent value, highly recommended!

I used to rate these at a 5 star, but my recent purchase is different. The disks are not the same.I depend on consistency and they aren't nearly the quality that they used to be.The 2000 through the 10000 may as well all be the same.I'm going to have to find a new supplier and it's disappointing because these used to be the best 1" sanding disks.Poliwell... let me know when you fix this & I'll come back.

Terrible. Each pad lasts about 10 seconds. Don’t waste your money. Seriously a joke.I used the hand held tool not rotary, so can’t speak for that, but the Velcro did stay on perfectly for 10 seconds of grit. Used up the whole kit in about an hour. Used both wet and dry. No difference

I used this kit to repair several wheels that had curb rashing. The drill attachment didn’t work very well. The sanding discs didn’t stay adhered to the drill or the dremel. The handheld tool was perfect for sanding and polishing the wheels.
