It's OK
Isn't to bad to use. Not as fast as I'd like but pretty good

So far so good.
This simple badboy is an outstanding one. I really enjoyed how much storage it was able to handle, while also maintaining a strong built. My only downside to this product is the size of it. I had a little trouble fitting this into my Tesla's storage space, but overall it fit. It does run hot sometimes, but not enough for any concern.

If I could double the stars I would
Legit- fastest USB anything I have owned. I think I'm up to probably my 5th purchase of his stick. I'm buying as many as 5 at a time because I'm giving them to people because they are so awesome. The rest of this review will be for a small subset of people...If you use Rekordbox or Pioneer CDJs with USB drive- get this. Here are some numbers that you will understand- My entire Rekordbox collection is about 10,000 tracks. To put this collection on a USB3.0 flash drive took me 36 hours. To put my collection on the SSK SSD- 45 MINUTES!!! This drive has let me save DJs whose playlist wouldn't read because I can just grab their list off of their drive and put it on mine in a matter of minutes. In order to get it to read for all CDJs you will have to use an app called RUFUS but it is free and pretty easy to figure out. But bottom line- if you are tired of waiting hours for your setlist to load onto a flash drive then get this and those hours will turn to minutes.

This is a must have, no questions asked
This is the best USB stick I have ever had. It transfers at speeds above any other that I’ve owned by a long shot (450mbps vs the 20 I used to get). The build quality is a nice heavy metal, with the design of the stick perfectly compact, and sleek. The capacity is also really good, especially for things like content creation where I’m constantly uploading 30GB recordings.Overall this product is a must have for me.

Falls apart
2023-09-23 UPDATE:Do not buy this drive because it falls apart. See the attached photo. This happened to me soon after I bought my first drive, but at that time, SSK answered my email and sent me a free replacement. The exact same defect happened with the replacement several month later. When I emailed SSK recently, they refused to reply. The company clearly has deep quality problems. This is a shame, because the drive has potential. Also, the #1 feature that I used to like about this drive was that it had sustained good transfer speeds (see original review below). But lately I have noticed that its transfer speed seems to oscillate. (Well, it could be caused by the source SATA SSD that I am copying files from that is the culprit, but I think that it is more like the SSK thumb drive that I am copying to.)--------------------------------------------------ORIGINAL review:I am hungry for a high performance flash drive. I want an SSD on a small stick. The number 1 defect in every flash drive that I have owned up till now is that you get their rated speeds for maybe10-30 seconds, and then, due to crap thermal designs, the controller detects over heating and throttles the speed down by 3-5X. Disaster when you want to do serious file transfers. This drive, however, is the first that I have ever owned which seems to maintain its speed over long time periods. Writing a 20 GB file to it sees no diminishment in speed over the minute or so that that takes.I also love how the width and depth of this drive are minimal. My main complaint about this drive is that I do not like its flip cap. I would prefer a traditional cap. SSK: just make sure that you can put the cap on the non port end when you have the drive inserted, so that you do not lose the cap.SSK: you also need to revise this product to have a USBC-C version that gets the speeds of the Kingston DataTraveler Max. I would have bought the Kingston, but a) it is way too wide (causes port crowding) and b) it thermally throttles.

A tiny SSD in your pocket. Read AND write speeds are pretty great.
This is a very fast thumb drive. The overall speeds are similar to older, internal SSDs. The sustained write speed for large files is very impressive. The read and write speed for smaller files is also quite fast, at least compared to my old drives. Plugged into my fastest, (but hard to reach) Red USB ports, it gives a sustained 505/385 read/write speed. It does get warm after a heavy load which is probably why it comes in a really nice feeling metal case: to dissipate that heat, and it does. I attached a benchmark pic below. Using the free ATTO benchmark, I compared it to one of my "fastest" 3.0 drives on a Blue USB port (my "front" usb ports) versus an old Team Group Color Turn 32GB. In pic, I also moved 56.1 GB of (8) large files from the PC to this SSK drive. The write speed was 305MB /sec until about ~40GB had passed, then it dipped to 50 mb/ sec, then it composed itself, and returned to 305 MB/sec for the duration (also in pic). It may hit a wall or hiccup a bit after 2 minutes in extreme usage scenarios, but overall, this thing flies. The only cons would be: it's a bit heavy, could sag in horizontal ports, (though I like the weight and, to be fair, all SSD thumb drives are metal) and the cap opening to 90 degrees has the potential to not easily fit in certain places. Tested on a Win11 desktop PC, x570 board/32gb/3800x/Sabrent Rocket nvme. The CrystalDiskMark benchmark run was connected to a rear, Red USB port. But I'll be using Blue as it's easy to reach and that's still plenty fast (ATTO benchmark).

Heavy quality
I didn't know there was anything to like about a flash drive, but even holding this thing feels pretty cool. You can tell it is made out of metal and it is very aesthetically pleasing. also super fast. love it
