Very detailed model
As usual with Academy, very detailed model in 1/35 scale. Don’t expect a big “truck”, its not a Tank.

Fun kit, crisp moldings.
Great little gem of a kit. Surprisingly no knockout pin marks in awkward places for an Academy kit, which you usually find. The .50 cal is one of the best multi part assemblies I’ve seen in 1/35 plastic. The tires could be better, but Def models makes sets for these.

Excellent Model
Quite a challenge but with some care and time it came together nicely. Incredible interior detail so I left the roof section unglued so I can remove it to show off! Plenty of options for leaving the hatch, doors, and rear section open or closed. One suggestion, take an exceptionally long time to assemble the undercarriage, its very intricate but if you get it right it really enhances the model.I opted to add aftermarket figures and gear to the model but have left part of it unfinished for use in a future diorama. Excellent detail, accuracy, and quality.

This model will take awhile to get it built, a lot of pieces to prep.
This is a very detailed model with more pieces then any other model kit I have purchased. I'm excited to get started, but have a couple other cars to build first

Quite accurate model, decent challenge for an average builder
I practically lived in one of trucks for a period of time and this model is impressively accurate. There are a few things that are understandably missing, as they differ from truck to truck: front bumper, placement and variation of radio antennas, duke or jukebox antenna, the turret canopy (I built one with simple mesh), the rhino if you're the lead truck (depending on the year)... pretty minor stuff like that. But what's provided is quite accurate for a model.I'm not a beginner with models, but also not advanced. For example, I won't even attempt to paint wear and tear or dirt/mud buildup. This model is not an insurmountable challenge, but it was definitely the most complex model I've ever built (the bar is low, though). For example, the .50 cal alone is like 6 pieces; the turret is like 30. It often felt like I was asked to glue pieces that didn't belong together - they didn't have grooves or male/female pieces for guidance, you just freely placed them and glued them. I also wish the scale was bigger. This thing is tiny.A few misc. notes:- Occasionally, this model provides metal pieces instead of plastic (<10 pieces if I remember). They're terrible because they bend easy, do not glue easily, and I don't see the reason why it just doesn't use plastic. For example: door hinges, and the black A/C screen above each rear wheel.- There is no engine to speak of. You will not be displaying this with the hood open- It comes with a little soldier you can glue together. I didn't construct, as it looks cheesy. Also comes with some jerry cans (in ~5 pieces each)- The decals are cheesy and unrealistic. Stenciled letters would have been better- Only provides a .50 cal; no 240 or Mk-19 options

Lots of detail.
This kit is a very detailed model. I had read a number of reviews that there were too many small parts and it was difficult to put together. I disagree, the kit is very easy to assemble for any experienced model builder. Academy models tend to be little on the softer plastic side of things but a great kit. Glass was very clear. I would recommend this kit.

Great model kit
It’s a 1/35 scale model. Extremely detailed and fun to put together. Remember to utilize tweezers to place the small details down! Great quality plastic, really easy to paint on. Be careful with the smaller areas like the rear view mirrors. Requires some prior experience but overall an easy kit to Build. Excellent model overall and extremely detailed.
