Expensive but worth it
If you want to go all out for a light bar this is it. Really high quality, multiple brightness options and looks professional. Really easy to setup and perfect for alleviating any eye strain in a dark room

The best
I know this monitor light is at the expensive end, but when you have spent a couple of thousand pounds on two monitors, the last thing you want is light bleeding on to the screen. This light is very bright and zero screen bleed.

Stylish, Practical Monitor Light — Just a Bit PriceyI’ve owned the BenQ ScreenBar Halo for almost a year now, and it definitely delivers on its promise. The light controller looks modern and is very easy to use. You can adjust both the color temperature—from relaxing warm light to a more focused cool light—and the brightness level, making it perfect for different moods and tasks. It’s ideal for workspaces that don’t use RGB lighting and works great for writing, reading, or any desk work. Attaching it to your monitor is straightforward, and overall, it feels like a premium product. That said, it does come with a premium price tag. Personally, I think the price could be a bit lower given what it offers. For that reason, I’m knocking off one star. But you really can’t complain—the company has done a great job creating a stylish, practical workspace accessory that lasts.

Another thing i didn't know i needed
Been working from home for 3+ years now in a Game Dev job, im a huge night owl as well so i do enjoy working in dim light and evenings.I never thought the Lightbars were useful, necessary or even practical, more of a fancy lamp than anything - I already had Hue Play bars behind my monitor lighting up the walls - but thought id try it for work. After about a week I'd forgotten i was using it - so i turned it off one night and i was astounded at how much more difficult it was to see/be at my desk, my eyes struggled to focus on the keyboard which is Razer TKL so pitch black basically and the general high contrast of a bright monitor and dark surrounding even with the Hue Play bars was genuinely disorientating. While i don't think you NEED the BenQ version of this - I think any PC user at their desk for 12+ hours a day like me should seriously consider trying one at least - I don't think i can ever go back!

Never knew I needed one of these till I got one
I'm using one of these (BenQ Halo) with an ASUS 43" curved ultrawide monitor. Initial impressions are extremely good. This looks and feels like a quality product. Very nicely packaged and easy to fit. There's an included spacer for a curved monitor, which I am using. If the lamp flashes it means there's not enough power being supplied by whatever USB port it's plugged into. It's not faulty. I have it plugged into a mains USB adapter and it works perfectly. The rear light is a nice touch and works well. Not sure at all about people saying they turn it on by waving a hand. The instructions say 'Tap the Power button to turn on the lamp' so this might explain why folk are having trouble with trying to turn it on without touching it. Someone said it wasn't bright enough. Seriously? I have it on a low setting and it's perfect. The remote control is heavy, which as a rule of thumb I tend to think means it's well made. This lamp reduces eyestrain very well and there is not a trace of glare or reflections on the screen. I didn't need the included pad for slim monitors. It sits securely on my monitor. I went for the optional webcam attachment bracket. To my surprise this is worth the money and works very well. If you want to use a webcam with this lightbar do get the webcam bracket also. It's not cheap but better than precariously balancing the webcam on top of the lightbar. I would recommend this lightbar without reservation.

I dont often review, but...wow.
Working at home (desk in bedroom) during the dark winter nights has been a problem for me. Eye strain, struggle focusing, lighting not appropriate. Was tempted by other cheaper products but I am so impressed with this product. No corners cut on quality. Feels premium and worth the significantly higher price. It takes a lot for me to feel bothered writing a review, so take that as a measure of how impressed I am with this item.Fits well on my 3800r 34 inch curved monitor.

Pleasantly Surprised
It's just a light that goes on your monitorWas a bit apprehensive about spending this kind of money on what is quite a simple device. So happy to report that it has been one of the best purchase I've made for my computer setup. I'm in my fourth month of usage and it gets used most days. So pleased with the purchase that I bought a 2nd one for my son.I love that you can alter the colour temp of the light. The device gives out a good amount of light and my desk is well lit without losing any desk space. The control puck take a little getting used to in terms of the various controls that it has on it and where to position your hand. But with a bit of practice all is fine. I've not experienced any issues in terms of the time it takes to react to commands.Setup is easy. Mine is used in conjunction with a curved monitor. Not all monitor lights sit well on those type of screens.I don't use the backlight much as I have a separate Philips hue Play light mounted on the back of my monitor. When the backlight is used it does dim the front light slightly. I would say that the backlight is most effective when your monitor is relatively close to your wall which isn't the case for me.
