It might seem odd to get excited about a kettle, but this one perfectly solved what was making me hate my previous kettle. That slow loud idiot was impossible to hear anything over and it took a merry age to get to temperature.Fast forward to unboxing this gem. It’s smaller, though takes the same volume of water. And it is virtually SILENT! (Sorry, shhh.) and *really* fast.But on top of that this cheeky device also tells me how hot the water in it is- and often I don’t even re heat as it’s plenty warm for coffee etc. Where I would’ve filled and boiled on autopilot each use, I’m not and I’m not using as much power, which is great.Yes, it’s not a ‘easy’ as flicking a switch; you have to select temp every time you use it. But a few weeks in and I’m fine with that minor habit change.I’m in a really hard water area, so time will tell if it slows or gets noisier.So yeah, possibly one of my wisest purchases in a long time. If you need a good kettle, you may have just found it.

I like the temperature feature, I always try to see if I can get it lower than 20c when putting in water. Its faster than the bosch I got which broke down.

Bought this to boil water! No complaints as to the quality, boils fast, the flip up lid is handy,one reason I bought it. Not sure the advertised ‘quiet boiling’ is any quieter than my previous kettle but it’s not an issue. One minor negative is that although the cord can be shortened by wrapping it inside the base, it won’t take all the lead, if you want to position the kettle against the wall by the socket with virtually no lead out, it still leaves about 33cm out, it’s ok once you have ‘trained’ the remaining lead to stay where you want it to

Good kettle, lovely classic lines. I’m happy to have a brushed stainless steel one again after my cream plastic one. Not as quiet as I had hoped but that’s the only downside and not worth dropping a star!

I purchased this as the reviews and the manufacturer claimed it was a quiet boil kettle. I needed this because my husband works shifts and we live in a flat and I was always conscious of how loud our kettle was. So I was disappointed when this new kettle arrived to find it wasn’t quiet at all.. I expect it to make some noise but it was as loud as the old one ! It does boil water quicker, and does what it’s supposed to but I’m not that impressed

Very quiet & bonus point is its super fast too. It takes literally half the time to boil than my previous normal Russell Hobs kettle did.

Our old kettle tripped the house fuses so a new one was needed. Compared to local shop prices, this one was really reasonable. It’s not fancy compared to some kettles now available but it’s only for heating water which it does quickly. It also has a blue light when on and who doesn’t like a nice light. What is handy is the simple button to open the lid which our old one didn’t have - even my arthritic hands can easily open the lid now.
