I’m truly impressed with this comal. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this time I think it deserves it. It’s very easy to clean, and the tortillas didn’t stick at all. They came out perfect, and the best part is that I only needed a paper towel to clean it. I highly recommend it!Estoy realmente impresionada con este comal. Nunca suelo dejar reseñas, pero esta vez creo que lo merece. Es muy fácil de limpiar y las tortillas no se pegaron en absoluto. (UPDATED August 25, 2016)I've been using this griddle pan at least 3 times a week since December 2015, and it still looks and behaves like new. Absolutely NO issues with the nonstick surface. I use it primarily for pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, and making quesadillas. I do NOT use any non-stick cooking sprays; instead, I use butter or grapeseed oil (only a small amount) so there's none of the build-up that sometimes happens with sprays. Also, I still use lower heat (low/medium, gas stove), and I think that helps, too.Seriously, this is one of the best kitchen investments I've made in the last year. I just upped my star rating to 5-stars: I love it!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I've owned several square griddle pans over the years, some high-end, some not so high-end. Honestly, I can't find much to separate the higher- from the lower-priced models. When my barely 2-yr-old high-end ( > $60) pan took a header a couple of months ago, I decided no more pricey griddle pans. If I can get 1 year of solid use out of a cheaper pan, I'm still ahead. Saw this one, read the reviews, considered the options, and went for it.So far, I'm not at all disappointed. Super performance from the non-stick surface so far, I'm using it mostly for pancakes and grilled cheese sandwiches over low-ish heat, and I've not experienced the warping others have written about (I was concerned before I purchased this that it might be a problem). Who knows -- it may still happen, but I've used it at least 3-4 times a week in the past month, and so far, no issues at all. I think the key is not to overheat it. If I notice any problems in the future, I will be back to update this review. But so far, I'm happy.

The 2 things I don’t like is that it doesn’t fit on one side of my stove with the handles so far out, the second is it slides all over my stove when trying to flip the food. Otherwise I like its non stick surface and that I can use just one pan for everything instead of groups or multiple pans.

This is a fairly light-weight pan so I don't know how well it will hold up over time but the non-stick surface seems very good. I noticed the same problem as other reviewers, with oil, eggs, liquids sliding to the outsides of the pan (away from the center) from the first use, but since nothing sticks to the surface it hasn't presented too much of a problem. I don't care if my eggs run together or not, but if you do, this may not be the griddle for you. Also, the center is hotter than the outside edges of the griddle so food does not cook evenly without moving it around. It does a good job and is easy to clean, so I am happy, thus far. The company says it can go in the dishwasher but I don't do that with any of my pots and pans and don't plan to start now.Today I edited my original evaluation and upgraded it to 5 stars from my initial 4. What I had failed to notice was that you did not need to add additional oil to the griddle before cooking (except when seasoning the pan). I tried cooking eggs today with no added oil and they cooked perfectly and slid right onto the teflon spatula with no sticking. Imagine...fried eggs with no added oil! Also, I did note that the pan worked better at unusually low temperatures (I cooked the eggs at a click below medium-low). The pan instructions say to warm the pan for 3 minutes on low heat and then cook the food. Low heat was a tad too low on my stove and clicking it one click more was perfect. Also, by using the lower heat, the sausage I cooked later cooked evenly and did not brown unevenly like it did when I used medium heat yesterday. So by making some adjustments to cooking techniques, I was able to cook a delicious and healthier breakfast.

PERFECT grilled cheese! Omg I love this griddle. I’ve bought many including copper ones that sucked and were expensive. I don’t usually take the time to write a review on dishes… But I was overly impressed with this griddle!

This griddle is the one to buy! It is not just a cheap metal stamped object like so many others, but rather a solid, heavy utensil that will last many years! One more thing regarding people report “warping” on griddles: let them cool down before washing. Any flat, large piece of metal will warp when going from hot to water.
