Well balanced studio production speakers
Perfectly balanced frequency spectrum for small studio production. Not super bass heavy if you are looking for more general speakers, but these are more ideal for production and higher fidelity listening. If you have a much, much larger space to fill, consider upgrading to one of the larger models.

Yup, these are the ones if you mix and master music
These speakers are more neutral than a lot of other studio monitors but they do not have very much bass. Not to say it has no bass or anything, but it is very tame(good enough for hip hop, don't get me wrong). I use it for mixing and mastering, as well as basic casual use like listening to music or watching movies.Amazing build quality, very aesthetically pleasing, sometimes more so than some of the super expensive monitors. One consideration is that it is rear ported, so putting them close to walls is a bad idea, but since it's only the 5" woofer version, it should be fine if you give it at least 6 inches.

Sound amazing
I am not a total audiophile but for what its worth I like how these sound. I have a home recording studio and the speakers are needed because my head phones dont quite have as proper sound. I have a Focusrite Scarlet 4i4 and use Reaper for my DAW and it is amazing. No need for expensive sotfware. I do pay up for quality cables (Mogami), but I the mic I bought is Amazon Basic super cheap but works great. I added a Klark Technic booster to the mic for $99 and it helps.

Amazing Sound
Best pair of monitors. Using them as desktop speakers for playing music and music creation. Using a Yamaha MG10XU mixer also. I've had these for a while but forgot to write a review. If you're on the fence, get them. Keep in mind that these speakers use TRS/XLR connectors instead of USB so keep that in mind.

WOW!
Finally upgraded to better studio monitors and these babies are fantastic! Really great for mixing and mastering . Only thing : make sure you order some audio cable to connect to your computer - they do not come with it.

Quality makes a difference!
The media could not be loaded. Great weight and sound, is perfect for what I’m using it for. Yamaha speakers to go with my Yamaha MOXF8 . Gotta keep it in the family 👌🏿

These are amazing studio monitors but…
I ordered the 1st “pair” on Prime and they sent me a single speaker. I raised a case immediately to get an actual “pair” (two speakers) sent to me and Amazon told me it would be rush shipped since I have prime and also run a studio and needed these right away because I took down my old small near field speakers.I didn’t receive the correct pair until almost TWO whole weeks later! I called after a week to check on the order when I got a notification that there was an “delivery exception” and Amazon said the pair was damaged in shipping and they needed to send me yet another new pair. Ugh.As far as the speakers are concerned, these are excellent monitors though. I had them several years back and “upgraded” to a much larger and more expensive pair of KRK’s but after a couple of years I realized my mixes weren’t coming together as fast or as easy as when I had the HS5’s. I still have the KRK’s bc I like the bass response but the HS5’s reveal so much detail and clarity in the mids and uppers frequencies and are perfect for getting vocal balances. I highly recommend these speakers to anyone especially at this price point but my purchasing experience this time around was absolutely awful so I took off one star.
