My New Favourite Iron
I recently upgraded to the Philips 7000 Series Steam Iron, and it's been a game-changer. The 2800W power heats up quickly, making ironing sessions faster and more efficient. The continuous steam output of 50g/min and the powerful 250g steam boost effortlessly tackle stubborn creases, even on thicker fabrics. The SteamGlide Elite soleplate glides smoothly over clothes, and I appreciate the vertical steam feature for refreshing hanging garments. The sleek black and gold design adds a touch of elegance to my laundry routine. The only minor downside is that it's a bit on the pricier side, but considering its performance and features, I believe it's worth the investment.

Man why a wiring so short?
This must be the best iron I have ever own. Glide withe ease, a bit on a heavy side, and the steam is ok when using on the ironing table, not really powerful enough for up-right use.But guys!!! Why is the wire so short !!! I can't hardly goes to the end of my ironing table. Therefore I have to use an extension to be able to iron with ease, doesn't make this appliance very safe, make sure to have your extension fused.

Perfect Steam Iron in Every Sense
When my previous Iron just suddenly packed up working, I had to quickly do some research on the Internet for which models were worth buying to replace it with. This Philips 7000 series steam Iron is miles better than the iron that I had before that went wrong.I don't do loads of ironing due to the fact that I live on my own but when I do I want something decent to do it with and this fits that description perfectly I would say.

Disappointed all round
Very disappointed that this came with no additional packaging, I appreciate the need to cut down on packaging but a strapping around the box is not too much to ask. Iron came with box open, ,luckily all contents was intact, but not ideal.Iron works ok, but short lead prevents you getting to the end of the ironing board, it makes it very difficult to iron trousers and jeans that need to go over the board. Very disappointed.I have had Philips irons all my married life and this is the most disappointing one yet. No cord clip,no water jug. Philips are becoming very stingy. If this is cost cutting it will be my last Philips iron.

Not as good as previous Philips Irons
I have been ironing for 60 years, and after having a few inferior irons I bought a Philips and loved it because of the premium soleplate, so no sticking clothes. I purchased this, my 4th Philips one, which shows how pleased I was with them, but it will be my last. Good points - still got a premium sole plate and still got a reasonable steam output in standard mode. Bad points - as others have said, they have shortened the flex to only 1.8 metres on mine so you need an extension cable. The amazon page did not give this information so I just assumed it would be another standard length flex. I should have read the reviews first but quite frankly, I didn't think I needed to as all my previous Philips ones had been great. In addition, there is a vertical steam shot button which used to be on the top of the handle next to the shot of steam button and they have now positioned it under the handle. It is difficult to grasp the handle now without also grasping and depressing this button. Terrible design fault. I will use it despite these annoyances but next time it needs replaced, it will probably be a different brand.

:-)
Does the job perfectly. My only gripe is that at 190cm, the power lead isn't really long enough, but this can be rectified.
