After sending back another version and returning yet another version to the library I am so happy to report that this is just right! No weird new story lines, no unneeded language, and includes the famous refrain "slow and steady wins the race"!

My daughter and I loved this bi-lingual take on a classic tale! Perfect for children (and parents!) who are learning Spanish.

Love, love, love this book. It’s a classic tale, but told in a very clean, easy to read book. The illustrations are soft and cute, and I love the Spanish translation below each English line. The reader gets to the end with the moral of the story to take away for life. And the parent always loves a nice SHORT bedtime story!

I love the way the author retold this classic story about the hare and the tortoise and the morals that she draws from the story at the end. The beautiful collage-style illustrations are a wonderful enhancement as is the fact that the book is bi-lingual.

The illustrations couldn't be more cute! I love bilingual books and this one is perfect. It's easy to understand and engaging.

This version of the classic story The Hare and the Tortoise is brilliantly done. The illustrations are fantastic and although I don't speak Spanish, I really liked how the author incorporated the Spanish verse along with the English. I would highly recommend this version.

A classic story told in two languages. I enjoyed the bilingual aspect and I couldn’t help myself; I had to read it in English and in Spanish…Lol.I like the illustrations as well. They are simple, but beautifully done. Adding games to the end of the book was a nice touch as well.
