Nice little gadget. Works well.
I’m pretty happy with this little gadget. It operates as advertised. Nice stream in bright sunlight, shortens up when a cloud passes over or you walk in front of an and completely block the sunlight. I started with the 11 hole fountain head which looked really nice but makes for such a fine mist that a constant slight breeze blows the water overboard and your bowl empties out very quickly. So I switched to the solid fountain which is heavy enough to fall straight back into the bowl and still looks good. What I didn’t count on was evaporation. This Georgia heat makes quick work of the water and I find myself refilling the bowl several times a day. But that has nothing to do with the fountain so if you live in a cooler climate you will be very happy.

Easy and beautiful
Love Love Love this little solar fountain. I have it in a shallow bowl in my garden for birds and bugs, and it adds so much beauty. It's run out of water several times, with no damage to the pump. Without sunlight or water, it just stops working and restarts just fine when it has those things. I put a couple foam "lilypads" in it to keep it centered, and also as a life-raft for anything that might otherwise drown, and it looks so pretty. It comes with quite a few heads so you can choose the flow. I've found covering a part of the solar sections allows me to keep the water at the perfect height. I couldn't recommend this more highly.

Great! When it works
I still have not figured out exactly what is causing it to work or not work. Sometimes it'll stop working mid to late afternoon and I'll figure it must need warm water but then I'll wake up the next morning and it's running. Today it has not worked all day and it has been quite sunny and there is plenty of water in there so I don't know what the problem is. But when it's running it's great. One of the plastic side pieces to keep it centered came off and I found it actually works better without without it because it it goes more to the side where the water is a little deeper.

This works even with the most minimal amount of sun!
I have bought other versions of the his before, but really like this one best. It picks up sunlight even on thick, overcast days (I live a mile from the ocean, and this time of year we get a lot of overcast mornings). Without fail, every day I walk outside and it is on.Because the panels are glass, it is easy to sanitize (I get a lot of birds) .The sprinkler heads are easy to change - I love the variety of choices, and the sound is calming. This unit has encouraged various birds to linger and call my community home - even when I change the sprinkler head to finest tiny must, it encourages hummingbirds to pause if no other species is visiting. My area is like a busy Arial freeway for various migrating species, and I've placed the fountain close to where I can peek out my kitchen window and see visitors move from the hummingbird feeders and seed feeders to the fountain.it has encouraged nestings from Mourning Doves, sparrows, Robins, hummingbirds to join both the barn owl and screech owls. Even the crows show up and chase off hawks looking for fast food.I'm considering adding a few more fountains to different areas closer to shade, knowing that the closer proximity with trees will encourage more nesters, yet the units will still work beautifully.

Love it
Works great even when cloudy, I do have to use the lowest spraying attachment due to windy days here. More birds are coming, even hummingbirds. Give it a week or so before the birds get used to it.

Nice in my birdbath
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Love this in my birdbath, only downside is the plastic tubes that keep it centered became brittle in the heat.

So disappointed!!!!
This item would be more effective if my birdbath was deeper. After a week, the birds hadn't used it yet and I had to keep filling it. (The water wasn't splashing out). Raccoons pulled the fountain out of the birdbath. I found it on the lawn and the tubes that draw in the water had been chewed on so I had to trim them back quite A bit. Guess I was not meant to have this product.

Update on negative review
Fountain worked great until a few days past the 30 day return window. I wrote a negative review which I am retracting. The company wanted to reimburse me but asked me to check the fountain again first. It started working. We will see.....
