Microsoft Surface Slim Pen 2 – Black

Life pro tip - this little stylus is very nice and goes perfectly with my Surface Pro Nine. But because it is small and all black and magnetic, it is easily misplaced. It would be helpful to have a bright colored strip on it to make it stand out. In case you DO LOSE yours, just order another one. There's a very good chance it will turn up the day your replacement arrives. Oh well -- I'm keeping the new one. I feel more secure knowing I have an extra.

It works great. Easy to charge on the Surface Pro 9's mag keyboard, power lasts for what seems like forever and a day, and super easy to use. Its too smart for me. I lost my first on on vacay... And tried aftermarket. Dont do it. Get the Slimpen 2 and save yourself the regret. Snap that badboy IN well... Or its easy to lose!

Great item. I love it. But after buying this and the $30 one I lost all the tips to the $30 one they just fell off. So now I dont use this one tho the tips are easy to find an purchase. I just think the price of 120 was too steep now an rarely use it. But it is a great item paired to my surface duo 2 and go3

Bad from stock Pen lithium battery would not accept initial charge per included instructions. Amazon noted this item has a high rate of return. I returned item for an exchange pen and will see if the exchange pen accepts initial charge.

I may never find a consistent use for it, but the number of functions and integration with Windows 11 has me impressed. Really cool gadget and makes my Surface feel complete.

Seems to have limited ability to use for editing in embroidery software, and also for use in note-taking outside of a few specialized apps.

How to Charge: Unlike the iPad Pencil which magnetically clips on and charges directly with the iPad, this pen either needs an overpriced keyboard upgrade, or an overpriced charging station. For a traveling artist, this is just one more item and cord to remember to constantly keep plugged in, and not lose.Holding a Charge: I believe that the pen has a feature to stop charging once it reaches 100%. The problem with this is that the pen NEVER stops sucking up battery so I have to keep it plugged in at all times, but once it charges fully, the charging automatically shuts down and the pen drains battery again. This can be very frustrating if I go more than one day without drawing a new piece and return to do some work and the pen is yet again dead.No Focus: The Surface Pro and Slim Pen are fine for devices that are trying to do EVERYTHING all at once, but if you have a main focus (for me, art) I suggest finding a device that is more focused. Despite not being much of an Apple user, I will be switching back to an iPad Pro. Think of it like going to a restaurant that has a little bit of everything. You might get an edible taco/spaghetti/burger/etc., but your experience will be a heck of a lot better if you find a restaurant more focused to your craving.
