very amateur
i am a newbie and trying to learn more about violins. this was my first and i can say it is great for straters especially small kids. material is not the best but of course price point reflects that. comes with everything you need and the case is very heavy duty.

If your on a budget, it's worth it just keep in mind the quality is not the greatest

Doesn't Hold a Tune
Purchased for my 10 year old for Christmas. We also got her private lessons. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold a tune well, and constantly needs returned. We'll have to het her another one.

This things has been fun
I’ve had this fiddle for two months and it is a blast. My background is electric bass (mostly) plus some guitar and banjo. I have no idea why I ordered this fiddle other than a problem with impulse control. But now I have it.Setting it up wasn’t much of an issue, but I’ve set up basses/guitars/banjos and knew where the process was going. From there, this thing is a completely different beast because no frets and the absurd angle between the strings and the fret board. But… that’s the way fiddles are.I have no other fiddle to compare this one to. All I can do is confirm that it does make notes and sometimes even makes the notes I want (my fault). And the sounds it makes are so different from what I’m used to that I’m loving it. It’s almost like getting a new effects pedal but it’s way more than that. It’s a whole new pallet.No, I’m not going to swap over to being a violinist. For me, it has always been and will always be all about that bass. It’s just nice to shake things up now and then.
