Simple to use and install hot water thermostat
Bought this as a direct replacement for a 13 year old unit that had failed. As it was a direct replacement it was simple enough to fit in just a few minutes. The temperature control functionality couldn’t be simpler, simply turn the dial. Hopefully the build quality is still up to scratch (it feels it) and this one lasts as long as the last. If it does, it’ll represent great value for money.

Good Value and so easy to install.
I bought this after my hot water system developed an unexpected fault and the hot water remained on at all times. A few phone calls to local plumbers were unproductive with most expressing grave concern and telling me I needed a new hot water cylinder, or boiler, or both, for just a mere few thousand pounds. After a few days of online researching I surmised it was most likely the cylinder thermostat or diverter valve. I opted to replace the thermostat first and all problems were instantly solved. It took 5 minutes to fit and is as straightforward as changing a plug. I am sure that had I given the job to a “professional” they would fitted a new cylinder at great expense and said “by the way, we changed your thermostat whilst we were at it”. Happy to answer any questions if I can but I am not a professional tradesman.

In accurate after a year.
After a year the temperature set point changed causing the water to get hot. Once turned down it continues to work but I now ignore the temperature it is set too.
