Exactly the switcher I was looking for!
I’ve been using this switcher for just a bit now and love it! I’ll update this review if anything changes (or if I see any of the screen “blanking” like others have mentioned) but as of now it works great!I needed an HDMI switch to hook up multiple sources to my mClassic upscaler. I had a few requirements for an HDMI switch that this one met completely:- 4K compatibility (to help future-proof)- Automatically turns on when powered- 5 Inputs- Auto-Switching- Remote control for IR compatibility- USB poweredI have a system that automatically switches a bank of USB powered devices on whenever I turn on my TV. This powers things like my mClassic, Retrotink 5x, and now this switch. The last switch I ordered required me to press a physical power switch every time it was powered, which was a deal breaker for me. This one boots right up to the first active source once it gets juice over USB! Better yet if you have two active sources and power one off, it’ll automatically switch to the next active source. Works exactly as I was hoping!I haven’t used the remote and honestly won’t use it very much, but I wanted it as an option in case I use it in a home theatre setup with a universal remote IR blaster in a cabinet somewhere. Many people report “screen blanking”, which has not been a problem for me. This may be because I have all sources going into the mClassic before reaching my TV, but my theory is that it has to do with resolution. Many times high bandwidth 4K signals are harder to have sent clearly over distance, so I’m assuming adding other devices in between can cause some issues as well. I’m not currently using this device with any 4K sources, as of now it’s been handling 1080p signals with no issues.Would definitely recommend this guy if your use-case is the same as mine! It’s a great device with simple features, I know it’ll be an important part of my gaming setup for years to come!

4K*2K HDMI Switch
I cannot afford a new tv, so after some research, this component came to my attention. My 50" tv is 2011 year HD 1080p. My tv has an antenna for reception with 4K and 400 mile range. On the 4K switch there are four HDMI Ports that can be connected to audio and video components. There is one HDMI cable port tv connection out and one audio connection (Optical cable I Provided not included) to the tv. I hooked up a Roku, Bluray player & VHS using Highspeed HD cables. The audio hooked straight into the tv. Those with soundbars can hook up to them instead. I do not play video games, but that can be hooked up too. With the exception of VHS, the tv picture is sharper and colors are more vivid. To my estimation, this unit has met my expectations. I spent less than $70 for a combination on all hookup cables and the HDMI switch (obviously less than cost of 4K tv replacement). A booklet was included with pictures and everything was connected, plugged in and powered up under 30 minutes. A remote is included but I just use my TV remote and that works the same way. The unit itself is so small it fits neatly tucked away on the tv stand. Easy to use, great alternative for those on a budget, and satisfying my goal of much better tv picture. Thanks y'all.

Decent support
I use this to plug four HDMI devices (PS4, Xbox, Apple TV, etc.) into the switch, which splits out the video signal and sends that to my older TV (2009 Westinghouse) via HDMI and separately sends the audio to my Sonos Playbase via optical audio cable. It works as expected and the audio/picture quality is good; there is no degradation or issues there as far as I can tell. The unit did stop working after five months. Obviously, that is not desirable. The only option I could find to contact their customer support was via the Amazon website. Which I must say was a very clunky interface for doing that and it was hard to locate the correct option and difficult to navigate. Once you figure out how to do this, it lets you send an email to the merchant. Their reply arrived in my email inbox. You would think that to reply to that email you could send your reply like a normal email. There were no instructions in the email that would indicate otherwise. However, it seems that they won't get the response if you send it that way. I figured out that you have to go back to Amazon.com and jump through all the navigational hoops again and send your reply from the webform. Amazon really needs to provide a better method for contacting their merchants.Anyway, once I was able to communicate with the merchant, they needed some basic info from me and then sent me a free replacement right away. So that part was good. The replacement looks like it might be an updated model, so hopefully this unit will be free of whatever flaw caused my first unit to fail. I'd like this thing to keep working for years to come.

works like it's supposed to
You have to supply ALL your own HDMI cords. Remote works well. It will not choose any input that doesn't have an HDMI chord connected. Easy and intuitive and great for the price.

It works for what it is
Kinda cheap, plastic-y feel to it, but it works well. One of HDMI ports is crooked and looks like it’s broken, which is a reason why I gave it 4 stars. It does a good job of extracting audio from a fire stick and separating it to be able to hookup a soundbar. Since my projector doesn’t have any audio ports, this was the solution to getting sound. The only way to be able to switch from 2.1 to 5.1 is via the remote. So that means if you lose it, you won’t be able to change it.=========UPDATE 8/5/21After about 9 months this thing started failing. I can’t plug in more than one device at a time without lights on this device flashing crazy, it won’t allow any video to pass through. I also get and HDCP error on my Roku, so this means this device is not HDCP compliant. My fire stick gets a green distorted screen with some colorful lines on the image. PS5 doesn’t recognize HDR and I get an error saying this device is not compatible with HDR and defaults to 1080p instead of 4K.Skip this and save your money. I ended up ordering a Tripp Lite HDMI/audio extractor for $130 instead. This was too good to be true at that price point.
