Tight fit had to customize
Cord is well made, fit through pulley and pole was fine, had to “fish” it through the angle part of pole, which needed to be disassembled. Once it was threaded through the pole, it was a smidge too thick for the hole on the handle spoke, which was modified by using a metal drill bit and manual drill to widen it,fine rat tail file passed through to take care of any sharp edges, and, bingo, back to blocking the sun!

Great replacement cord
This was easy to install, just took apart the umbrella and replaced the broken cord with this one. The price is adequate for the quality of it. It works just as good as the original cord. The thickness is good, it feels just slightly thicker but not by much, didn’t have any problems getting it through anything.

Diy replacement of a patio umbrella
Tight to get in the hole but works well once you get it through the crank hole. Cut the end at an angle with a red hot blade will help

Perfect size and strength
This umbrella cord was exact replacement for the broken cord it replaced in a Hampton Bay umbrella. After viewing a youtube video with step by step instruction, the installation was relatively easy.Would order again if needed.

Good rope for the umbrella
Old string broke so we ordered this one. Nice and sturdy. Should last a while.

Unable to use product/
The diameter of this cord was too big to fit into the necessary holes and I was unable to use it. It's a nice looking cord, but wouldn't work for my deck umbrella. Would like a refund.

Worked perfectly
It was a bit difficult to get through the crank hole, as it's apparently cut with a hot blade to keep it from unraveling. It had a little nub on the end that wouldn't fit through the hole, but cutting with a razor blade at an angle & using a lighter to sort of seal it fixed the problem.
